My friends know for sure. A few watch a lot while most have only seen a few but still like anime...only violent anime

There is no problem with keeping the fact that you watch anime a secret. It leads to less social exclusion in high school and times when people are really judgmental. However, and this is kinda embarrassing, I was never good at talking to people, so at first I told people about me watching anime to try and open up. Some people shunned me but I realized that any one who shunned me wasn't really my friend (corny but true). I now have a group of friends that I can always trust and respect my decision to watch and like anime I let every one know I like anime and I have no qualms about yelling about in the halls for every one to hear because I know I have good friends.

I don't mind that people know I watch anime. I was closed-minded about anime until my sister showed it to me. Since then, I've been open about it

Most of my friends know I watch, and some of them do as well, but the majority dont. My family knows and doesnt get it.

Though over the years as we all get older some friends don't watch as much as they used to due to various reasons. I still make room for anime since I find very little on TV that good to follow anymore so anime is my main source of viewing entertainment and fun.

No, my friends don't know, my old friends always judged anime as stupid and said only idiots watch it which made me feel bad, so I didn't tell them nor do I tell anyone in case anyone judges me. Although my brother knows but he called me stupid long before watching anime.
