I let everyone know. If they don't like it that's their problem.

I'm way past the point of even caring about any of my friends' judgment regarding what I do in my free time. And for that matter, so are they. That said, some of my friends do watch anime and it's literally no big deal. I remember my co-worker and I talking about Attack on Titan like nothing, it's just kind of assumed with the people I hang around.

Given that I literally only have one friend in real life and she also happens to love anime, yes, my real life friend knows that I watch anime. But aside from that, everyone I know (this time I am including family and Facebook "friends") knows that I watch anime and quite honestly they don't care. They kind of get annoyed because that is ALL I talk about - well, that and Power Rangers - but that's just what makes me me lol. At 25 years old, I honestly no longer care what people think about me.

Yeah they do, they even give me suggestions on what to watch. I rather openly talk about my interests with friends, it makes for good conversation.

It depends on location... If your at an convention or watching an anime related movie / at it's line-up. It won't feel out of place to openly talk about recent animes. Most people I know however prefer to chat about it online using forums, message or on twitter/FB.
