HOTD was incredibly epic imo.

FIrst off, I know we all got the thrill of seeing another zombie apocolypse, in anime form at least.

Now the fan service was a plus to me, but of course Im biased. As long as the animation isnt down right garbage, why not show it off?

Heck, one could even go as far to say that the sexual tension in this show actually mirrored what young teenagers would actually have going through their minds.

Heck, I could say this ecchi show had too much action, instead of the other way around.

I mean you got 3 girls who are just horny for the main character. When your life is in peril every single day, wouldnt you think of having your last moments with the one you love?

Even some of the more ridiculous ecchi scenes were hilarious, like the Mounting Boob Gun scene. Or the matrix bullet dodging with Saeko's breasts.

We have to realize that ecchi is a genre just like all other genre's, just because you dont like it, doesnt make it any less so.

So in conclusion, for a specifically mentioned ECCHI/action/horror anime. This did great

Not to mention that anytime there was a respite from the danger, one would be able to hear the primitive part of their brain effectively screaming, "You're going to die! Reproduce now, while you have the chance!".

I thought the ecchi content was a little heavy though I didn't mind a much with busujima

I do wish I could keep up on the manga better than seeing like 80 pages every like 6 months it feels like.
But like ancient one has said the anime went a fair distance into the existing content so it doesn't seem like there'll be another season for a while.
I just hope they don't make filler content. There's only so many make out beach camp scenes I care to see.
Does anyone know if there's an actual unedited version out? I know they just "white beamed" out the heavy ecchi content like breast grabbing but I despise editing.

I hate it when they ruin animes with excess use of ecchi. If I wanna be turned on I'll just go an watch porn. Don't need no ecchi ruining my anime...

Well here what I have to say, animation wise, it was amazing for a Zombie genre and for a zombie fan to tell me this has very good zombie elements means a lot exept fot the R rated parts.

When the creators of HOTD were at AX 2011, and of course most of the audience were guys....and you know who the target audience for this anime is.
When the golden question was asked if they want a second season , there was a loud roar of yes and this and that in the Concourse .I was sitting near the front and I could see all the anime staff faces when they saw the reaction. And if the dvd selld are good , you know they will bring back HOTD. The zombie genre does not get old.

THis anime intrigued me because it was well done aside from the crazy R rated scenes .

So I have a hunch that we will see this anime again.

As far as streaming, you would need to be in the United States and not mind watching the dub to access the uncensored version. The entire series is streaming via Netflix, and The Anime Network website (for subscribers only). Keep in mind that even if you don't have Netflix, it isn't difficult to sign up for a free one month trial.

The only way I know of to legally access a subtitled uncensored version is to buy the DVD or Blu-ray set (currently $32.99 & $41.99 respectively, on Amazon).

Well the manga is still going on, and in that last episode things seemed like the could pick up another season. Might be awhile though because the manga isn't very far ahead. Should be half a year or so before anything is set.
