Well, first half was better than the 2nd imo. Still, I liked the series. Plot is confusing but gets to the point. |

It got really exciting during episodes 11 up to ep 22. Though I have mixed feelings about the ending, it was a decent anime overall. I honestly thought I wouldn't like the series as a whole but it turns out I was wrong. I enjoyed it. It gets an 8/10. I would've rated it higher if they didn't recycle some "things" from other anime but to be honest the execution was almost flawless and the production was top notch. I wouldn't expect anything less from an anime that had lot of companies working on it. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Though I would've liked the ending a lot more if Shu died with Inori. I hate the last bits of the episode. It was just too sad for Shu. And he was fucking blind too! Ugh. |

Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?

The first half felt like generic shounen mecha with a touch of high-school comedy. Yes sure the animation quality was top-notch but there was no magic and the plot felt pretty dry. After ep 12 though it went full Code Geass and the writing really went nuts. Anyone remember the R2 days when near the end every episode was a plot twist, and the whole thing felt like a train wreck except every passenger was on acid. Yes sure nothing makes sense if you think about it logically but that's what makes so enjoyable. Agreed with the ending once again, having Shu staying alive is suffering. He's blind, cripple and doesn't even get with ShuXAyase OTP. I think why most people were mad at the ending was because of wasted potential. GC had a great cast but most people weren't really explored well. Also Whorisa and Soda lived...The Endlave designs were lackluster (seriously I think there was like 4 different models total) and there were elements in the show that seems to serve no purpose. Overall this is not quite as good as CG but it has definitely been a while since a imitation this close was made, so not a bad effort Production IG. |

The ending may have been a bit better had he actually died. blue_banana wrote: I think why most people were mad at the ending was because of wasted potential. Ayase's probably my favorite character.
Like a boss. I'm also hoping this will make up for some of the dissatisfaction viewers had on the final episode: http://myanimelist.net/anime/13411/Guilty_Crown:_Lost_Christmas |

Holy...I just looked her up since you mentioned it but never in my dreams did I imagine Ayase was being voiced by Kana Hanazawa, the same one as Tuturu (Mayuri from S:G) and FuwaFuwa (Nadeko from bakemonogatari). How on earth did she pull this one? She sure did a very good job though, looks like she finally started to divert away from her traditional roles. Also yes Ayase would probably fall into the tsundere archetype. |

Haha yeah she is too cute of a seiyu herself. But yes diversity is key in va. Is like to see her in more tsundere rolls. Never yanderes though....wait spoke to soon....deadman wonderland. She has played 3 famouse archtypes already. She is the next rei kugimiya. But I'm wondering now if she and shu get together. And he is blinde....inori was blind just before...so he absorbed inori? They are two people? O man the mysteries.

Quality animation and ost but I thought it was horrible otherwise. Some people still think it was good though so I guess its a love it or hate it thing.

And he is blinde....inori was blind just before...so he absorbed inori? They are two people? O man the mysteries. From what I've understood. When they were embracing Inori managed to switch their ailments around (don't ask me how, lolmagic). So Shu acquires Inori's blindness and Inori takes all of Shu's cancer then burst into treats. So she's probably dead. As for Ayase, as much as a shipper such as myself would like, there is no canonical evidence supporting their relationship at the end. In fact it would make most sense if Shu either went back living with Haruka or is foreveralone. Of course if you asked me 10 episodes ago I'd have said Gai was dead, so basically don't take anything for granted especially when the writers are from CG. And hope for a season 2... |
