No.

I met my husband on Match.com. Good thing, too, because after decades of intimidating men, at that point I was convinced I was remaining a spinster. Now we are a family, with a beautiful kid.

Goes to show you, just never know.

That's great to hear. I know in the past people have been apprehensive about utilizing the internet to find romance, but due to the technological digital age we live in now, any inhibitions of meeting people through use of social network mediums have been suppressed.

No I haven't. I prefer face to face interaction when it comes to romance.

I don't know about finding love through Facebook. I mean, I've heard about people reconnecting and falling in love because of it, but from what I understand, as far as "romantic interests" go, people only really use Facebook for hooking up. Seriously, the amount of "Hey, are you the guy I met at that party last night?" messages I get on Saturday mornings are ridiculous, but that pretty much just comes with being in my age-group.

I've made a few attempts to hook up with girls through social networking but never worked out. There's good reason why meeting people through social networking has been suppressed due to many cases of internet predators. Even I was nervous meeting a girl in real life that I had met initially online. Luckily it turned out okay, but no romance sparked. But it makes sense that a lot more bad can happen with online meetups than good ones. Personally I prefer meeting girls in person initially. It's more of a social challenge for me but still all the better. I like a good challenge. No hiding behind computer screens. To me it's one of the important social skills we've lost since social networking took over. We need to get back to our basic face to face people skills.

I feel like online love is lazy people looking for romance. But if it works, why not I suppose...
