I remember one time when I was about 10 or so, I was at a supermarket with my mom, and as usual I wandered off and found something interesting that I wanted, I can't remember exactly what it was. Once I had it, I started pestering my mom, doing the usual "mom, can we get this" over and over chasing her all over the store. I just couldn't figure out why she didn't just turn around and say no or yes or whatever, and why she kept moving faster and faster away from me. I realized I was following some other poor woman who happened to have similar clothes on, pestering her about getting something when she finally turned around said "stop bothering me!" and gave me this really mean look. That was one very awkward moment...

OMG lol. That reminds me of a time when I was about 5, and my mother and I were at Walmart...I wandered off, and I saw someone who I thought was my mother, just because of the way she dressed. I went up to her and I kissed her (she was kneeling down in the shoe section) and I said something but I forgot what it was, all I remember was that I called her "mommy"....

She smiled at me, I realized she wasn't my mother, and I walked away............then bumped into my real mother, haha!

It's funny, I really don't know why I thought it was my mom. The lady had light skin and blond hair, my mother has darker skin and black hair...not to mention they were both wearing two completely different outfits. I still feel stupid about it, lol.

LOL....Would have been great if you did that at your age now. haha

yeah, if I did that now at my age, it wouldn't be awkward, it'd be plain creepy, I'd probably get security or the cops called on me, lol

AHAHAHA! xD Something similar happened to me. I was really young, so my view of the world is basically everyones legs. We had a whole bunch of guests over, and one of them was wearing similar jeans as my mom, and I kept asking them to pick me up. The person did. Super awkward when I saw his face.
