So ( as it says in the topic description) I decided to make a thread for people to get advice from fellow CR artist. The other threads that were kinda similar really didn't leave room for discussion and were more for finished pieces. Here you can post something incomplete so you can get some tips from people on things like composition, perspective, proportions, etc. before you pour hours into something.

I'll start i guess. I started drawing this one and, well i was wondering if there seems to be anything terribly wrong with it. I spent quite a while trying to get the boobs to look right (don't worry she'll be clothed before I'm done) and I was more or less curious if i got them right...

Ha ha, boobs. They are always my enemy when it comes to drawing. I have no comment about that other than what I just said.

About the shoulder, I think it looks a bit intense. Maybe you could make it a bit less curvy to show more of the bone role play. The overall sketch is really nice though. Am I supposed to post something up, too? If so, I have nothing to post.

not if you don't have anything. that's all this thread is here for it to have a place for people to get people's input in a little more detail.

btw thanks that's the kind of thing i'm looking for. i posted on another site and a few people posted but only one actually said anything that sounded like it was trying to help but what he said was entirely too vague.

since then I've fixed the shoulder i think, i notice the fore arm thins out too much as it goes off the page so i gotta fix that :D

Oh, really? I am glad it helped you a bit more then. It looks better now. And yeah, I can see the fore arm as well. Ha ha, in due time, it will reach mastery.

Well, Okay here what I see. Thee Jaws, most of people never draw them or draw them upper than they should be, like your drawing. its like she has Cheeks but she doesn't have thee jaw's bone, also thee chin, You most not draw like so triangle. Maybe as I can see you're already half way to finish it but maybe next time try to make sure to show thee jaws and thee chin be more like a real one. If you touch your chin it's not as what you draw.

Here a tip I do If im not sure how it is to draw something, I touch myself (not in a bad way :P) I touch and feel thee place I want to draw, like thee chin feel yours, it's not as what you drew. Just saying tho, hope I help you a bit.

thanks for all the advice, i finally did get around to "finishing" it. I attempted a different expression on her and ended up just going with that instead. I don't really recommend changing something like a character's entire face after you've finished all of the shading, that's what I did but it's not exactly smart. I say it's "finished" because I'm going to start working on something else. I might ad clothes later but for now she's done. Also for the sake of the little children on here I removed her nipples :D

There's still something iffy about the bottom portion of the art. I think it's the lack of creases. When you look at a woman's chest, they tend to have the crease right above their armpits. So, maybe a little creasing there wouldn't kill much. About the going in to the curves, I think it's a bit too narrow. But that's just my opinion; it's still good the way it is. (The nipple part, it's all about art, man. If they know art, they wouldn't mind.)

Ah, but you finished. Looking forward to the next one, then.

Okay I'm working on another drawing and I really don't do profile views all that often. Just looking for opinions. Oddly I'm mostly concerned with the boob area (that's typically what I'm good at drawing). So any comments are helpful.

EDIT: shit forgot to include the picture. ha

The forehead looks pretty funky. You could probably fix this by pulling the nasal arch out a bit more that way the forehead will be more full and not so "sunk in". The rest looks to be pretty proportional, just work on that forehead.

hmmm.... i wish these forums were a bit more active. i come on here every day to try to do my part but i can't really just talk to myself :/

my point is, while I appreciate the help, you're like a couple of days too late. You are right though the face is a little sunk in i guess. I'll keep that in mind in the future. but for now this one's done.

As do I, Fan art forums definitely need a larger populace.

BTW I did not notice this was a thread for all artists (since I only so you posting stuff), so I guess I'll post something that I am working on at the moment.

the only thing that i really see is her jaw line seems a bit manly.

oh, and the right leg looks confused. like the top of her socks is curved downward implying that her leg is going back but the foot looks like its stepping forward.

Thanks for the tip about the leg, I will fix this immediately. As for the the jaw, I really like the way it is as of right now, plus I have a lot proportions based around it.

How does looking at large amounts of imagery then using them as reference suit you? This is definitely not a trace I will tell you that. :-)
