I love this show. It gives me warm fuzzies and the first episode had me crying - not the sad crying though.

I've seen:

Usagi Drop
Welcome to the NHK
K-ON!
Nodame Cantabile
Lucky Star

and more.

I would watch any genre (except for ph@g and yuri) tbh.
This is just... too happy, too slow, too relaxing... to the point that it's boring.
I really had a hard time paying attention to an entire episode. lol

I'm not judging any of you though. I'm the weird one.

Ah, I understand. Kokoro no Toshokan (I think it was called) did that to me. I liked it, but it was sooooooooooooo drawn out and boring.

you guys need to see the 4 ova's first to get what's going on with the show, and then you will like it even more.

I figured that this was a retelling as opposed to a sequel to the OVAs, so I was going to watch them after it was over. Was I wrong?

I really like this series. I'm drawn to slice o'life and comedy, but I like shows like this one for the story's pace and character development is ongoing throughout the series rather than tell all there is to tell in the first episode then on with the obligatory beach/pool episode. I think Maon whistles simply because of her soft voice, the whistles come out louder than her normal speaking voice. Case in point when the teacher went onto the roof to motivate the four girls and Maon couldn't answer him loud enough.

Just watched #4. So cute and sweet! <3 Maon looks so adorable in the flashback, and really cute in the yukata.

I think this is the most saccharine-sweet series I have ever watched. I feel like Chihiro-chan when I watch it: always crying. lol

Just finished ep8. I wish I could have this as my life. Growing up and then growing old in a sleepy little town full of happy memories and life-long friends.

I had the sleepy little town thing growing but but I didnt get the other parts. I love quiet small towns where the worst that happens is someone getting drunk and landing in jail for the weekend. lol

Meh, I started watching this after hearing about another season coming. Slice-of-life huh?

Edit: Failed to impress me. I kept looking @ the timer for the episode to stop. Anyways, putting it on-hold for now. If episode 2 fails, drop

Yup, definitely. Action, drama, and complex storyline are what I look for in anime. Love triangles and relationships are also an eye-catcher for me in anime as long as it doesn't enter the harem/overly fan-service cliche. I dropped a lot of slice-of-life anime(s) and plotless anime before unfortunately
