I think there will be a third season, at the end of the last episode in season 2 it had "to be continued". Thus im sure there will be a third season but where it might go plot wise, who knows, the manga and anime are so differnet its like to seprate storylines.

Not put a damper on your enthusiasm, but just because of a "to be continued" ad on the last ep doesn't mean that a third season is a reality. Since it has already been available for sale in Japan for some time, I think we would have heard something, even a small something by now. After the more serious tone of the second season, I would like to see a third...but I'm not holding my breath. It was a two year turn around between season one and two.

I think trying to get the manga release in the US is more viable option at this point.

Timewise, the clock hasn't run out, as the first series ended in September 2008 and the second in September 2010. If another series were announced for this summer, that would be right on schedule.

That said, if there were going to be a third series this summer, I would have expected it to have been announced as green-lit by now. While some summer series will not be announced until as late as June, sequels tend to be announced as green-lit well before the season they premiere in (with the occasional exception of series that are still running).

I would say if no third series is announced by Fall 2012, the odds of it happening start declining rapidly.

There will be a season 3 of sekirei in 2013 no later than 2013 so that means get your headphones and excited spirit ready for this ;D

@Domayv there is not a green-light on the third season but I'd much rather see the series end in another season. That would make more sense to me. Some people may not be happy with just a movie for the end, because if I recall in the end of the second season was only the beginning of the third stage. So i'm hoping it will end in another season.

It would be sad,dumb and annoying if shit like that would get a 3rd season.

But srsly, so many people are complaining about sword art online and other ''good'' anime but no one is saying something against Sekirei? Thats just so wrong.

well give need put 3rd season of course there still some yet to answer especially the part what they did to those are "defeated" sekirei?

cause i feel like "gut feeling" lead to "I KNEW IT" part yea really or something oh my aka martial hearts or worst overall if good time for 3rd anyitme would help now.
