Anyone know any drifters near Hiroshima? I'll be in the area in a couple of weeks and am looking for a place to watch it or just hang out.

I used to do a little drifting back when I had my old rx7 (check my profile pics). That little bastard kicked ass. It was fun as hell, I wish I still had it.

You owned an RX7? :O I love that car!

Well, haven't drifted, but I've ridden in a car while my brother drifted it. It was sort of an accident, but he was very skilled in keeping the car in control.

Correction: I STILL have an RX7. I just upgraded from the black '82 to a red '88. But I don't have any good pics of it in my profile yet. There's only one pic of my Scion xB where you can see the RX7's ass.

My RX7 is pretty good at drifting, but it has a rear-wheel-steer system that makes it quite hard to do any real drifting. Sooner or later I'll get rid of it and have some real fun.

The only type of racing that I find entertaining is drift racing, though I haven't watched much. I never understood the point of stuff like Nascar racing, it just sounds and looks like the most boring thing imaginable. They drive around in an oval for hours ........ and occasionally crash.

Lol..I can't drift with my CLK because it too goddamn heavy.. That is, it's 3700 for a freaking coupe. I accidentally drifted, and it was SCARY because I like inches away from another car.

Please don't confuse power sliding with drifting.

lol you should see my RX7, it's dented up to hell. I can't even begin to count the number of times I've hit stuff. But I guess thats just a part of it.

Yeah... I rather not risk it with a $60,000+ dollar car. I'm thinking about getting an EVO 8 and getting it tuned by AMS. We'll see what happen if I get my OZ wheels or not because those wheels are goddamn expensive. $5,7xx.xx for 4 wheel and summer tires is INSANE!

in WRC, they aren't always power sliding, they just develop on basic cornering techniques and make something out usch as the dirt drop. And F1 rocks, Karts are fun
But hey, what do I know, I only watch it.

well i tried drifting in a Mitsubishi magna ex front wheel 2003 model and i ended up fucking the left side of the wheel. Being front wheel was why it all went wrong plus it was such a foggy night.

With RWD cars, you drift a lot without doing it on purpose...

wow...... i actually learned how to drift b4 i drove. like when i was 9 i raced karts and one of the things i learned was from drifting and control from racing. its like when going into the turn on the kart, accelerate go in deep into the curve then brake just a little to make the kart turn and then accelerate again. but that was awhile bak. when i got my car, i took it into empty parking lots and just pracitced doing 180s, reverse 180s and 360s its pretty cool. i didnt think the transition was that hard, quite easy.
