Japan to give Thailand more flood aid
Kyodo

Japan will provide an additional ¥1 billion in grant aid to flood-hit Thailand to buy large drain pumps and motorized boats, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

The government plans to provide more aid in the future in accordance with Thailand's needs, according to the ministry.

Japan has so far extended relief supplies worth ¥55 million, including tents and makeshift bathrooms, to Thailand through the Japan International Cooperation Agency.

*Wai to Japan*

While my parents live in Pattaya, in a flood-free area, far away from Bangkok, the infrastructure effects can be felt even there. Considering Japan has been recovering from their own recent disaster, this is incredibly gracious of them.
