Should a new viewer watch Fate Zero or Fate/Stay Night first?

star wars prequels were trash and should have never been made nor watched, this anime is similar, just watch zero it explains everything you need to know bout the concept of the war .

in my opinion, this poll is useless, so i vote the last one, since you should decide for yourself which one to watch first, yet, i would recommend to watch Fate Zero because i didn't like Fate Stay Night, kinda wanted me to move away from the entire series, so before you drop the series, should watch the prequel since it explained more and has better action/animations

I watched FSN first years back,but I enjoyed more FZ.

FSN sucked ass,bad flow,bad animation,annoying lolitsunderes characters and not much actions from the masters and it's so fucking confusing when you watch this when you're only 10 years old(yes I watched FSN around that time).

FZ is so well explained that even an idiot can understand everything,and the characters are much badass,even the creeper Uryu and Caster.

Furthermore,FZ is an adaptation written by the GREAT UROBUCHI GEN.And trust me I've read the light novel, it's so amazing.At first I didn't intend to read it because FSN made me hate the series because it sucked so much but then I saw UROBUCHI GEN's trademark then...Seriously,I prefer FZ>FSN plot base as it's more well-written.It can be a standalone of its own without the audience to have read FSN...I now regret to ruin my image of Fate because of FSN but hopefully FZ brought me back to it.
*btw FZ doesn't have a VN but only a FZ since it's an adaptation but trust me the storyline's totally worth it.I can't even believe why the main series branch is so ...average compared to this masterpiece.

Please stop this shit it reeks any substance and logic.I had to cool my mind with some EmiyaKiritsuguXEmiyaShirou's cuddly fanarts and some Archer(EMIYA) for me to stop hating him because his ideals are just so fucking annoying.Now I don't hate him anymore,I just...tolerate him,I guess.

***But I'd suggest you watch the original to see how much it sucked first then watch this one since it won't ruin it for you.At least you've watched the first one!Or if you watched FZ then you're going to watch FSN then you'll be disappointed by FSN...prolly.And the animation of FZ is much more better salkhflsadfad

I'm maybe just sick of the moe characters.

Having recently watched both, I say Fate/Zero should be watched in its entirety (including the yet-to-be-released episodes) first.

In terms of spoiling things, the ending of Fate/Zero is the focal point of both series. The big reveal at the end of Fate SN is what happened at the very end of Fate Zero. Either series will spoil the other in that regard. Other than that, the spoilers are relatively minor - in Fate Zero, you find out some more background on some of the children that become important characters in Fate Stay Night, and in Fate Stay Night, you find out certain people did or didn't live past the grail war.

Watching Fate Zero first means you go into Fate Stay Night with a feeling you know some background you're not supposed to, but you still don't know how the story will turn out. Watching Fate Stay Night first means watching Fate Zero with the ending already spoiled. It's like having an inconsiderate friend blab out the end of a movie before you watch it. I consider the latter to be vastly worse.

The paragraph above should be reason enough to watch Fate Zero first. As if that wasn't, another consideration is which anime is better quality. I would rather be able to enjoy the higher quality anime to its fullest without having the story spoiled. In that regard, Fate Zero wins hands down. In every conceivable aspect, Fate Zero is so far beyond Fate Stay Night it doesn't even seem possible these were made by the same people.

I think history comes first before the present because Fate/Zero wants us to see what it is like to have them in the past where they know what they were doing while Fate/Stay Night is where the older and younger characters comes back to an older stage to show us what has time change between each servant. Only Saber is the only servant who looks the same in Fate Zero while the rest all change

So your saying watch Fate/Stay Night first then Fate/Zero because Order of Creation means. Fate/Stay Night came first before Fate/Zero.

Well I watched bit of Fate Zero.. and now I am watching Fate Night Stay.. which somewhat.. spoiled some bits.. which I don't want to know about.. So I am going to watch Fate Zero before Fate Night Stay.

you have to watch fate zero first because its the first of the series! Because if you watch the Fate stay knight first you really wont get thru all the episodes of fate stay night!
