Not only an ideal environment to raise and harvest ticks and chiggers to the detriment of your pets and small children but also a good place to be FROM: Columbia, Missouri. Go, Tigers.

Like that.

Tell me something, since when did you become a Crunchyroll expert?

Each month, over 6 million unique users watch our videos and generate over 127 million monthly page views.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/advertising

There's actually much more users on crunchyroll than you think. A lot of them are married, have kids, or are young adults from 20-25. They're the ones with credit cards, who pay to watch the videos and don't bother posting in the forums, creating a profile, or adding buddies. Since they're not active and being social, it seems like there aren't many users. But there are. I deal with not even one quarter of those users regarding payment. Not even one quarter and we receive thousands of messages. Everytime I head to a library and peak over people's laptop or on public computers, there's atleast one or two users on Crunchyroll.

I receive tons of emails from lawyers, real estate, mothers, people at work who are no where near nerds :/
Stop stereotyping the users. Just because someone likes anime doesn't make them a nerd. (Though I have nothing against nerds and actually find them attractive ) We also have a ton of users who are here just for the drama and aren't even interested in anime. So you'd be surprised how many people know about this site.

Alexa's rank for crunchyroll is 5,762,

Obviously not the sexiest rating a website could have.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crunchyroll

Apparently it serves over 5 million users, I'm not sure if its 6 million unique viewers,

Crunchyroll is popular, just not as popular as people on the website likes to think, it's a cool site and all, but Manga and Anime doesn't have the impact it should in over here in the States or North America at all really.

http://www.dannychoo.com/

I think Crunchyroll ranks lower than Dannychoo, but I'm not sure, the likes of Microsoft and Apple are all over Dannychoo so they may be about even.

Crunchyroll has a limited userbase as I'm sure the Japanese(In Japan) doesn't use crunchyroll, and it's really only popular over seas, and it's limited to mobile OSes and Computer,

It's available on Wii, PS3 and Xbox, And 3DS like Netflix and Hulu,

I wish crunchyroll had a business model like Blockbuster and Netflix, because than it'd have more revenue which would lead to more content on the site, and if they shipped DVD/Blu Ray and streamed like netflix.

I'd most definitely would be paying for it.

I know this is off topic but.....

Wouldn't crunchyroll benefit from Manga, Doujin and best of all, Visual Novels?

We're already working on apps for Wii, PS3, XBOX 360, and 3DS, along with Windows phones. Not to mention we're starting on domains.
As for manga, I can't say much regarding that. All I know is that we're partnered with Jmanga.
Tai seng is also Powered by Crunchyroll, Inc as well: http://mytv.taiseng.com/

Edit:
Also, those other websites you named. Do they count views from apps? We have users who signed up by apps only, and the only way they go on cr is by their phone or ipad. :]

I'm not sure myself, I know whenever they use the mobile web browsers they get views like crunchyroll, I'm not sure about the native applications.

Wii and PS3 applications? Thanks Kippu! Whenever I post this to twitter, I'll get a slight shitstorm of hype and excitement.

By the way, you stayed tight lipped about DVD shipping...... Is crunchyroll hiding something?(I hope so, Anime DVD Shipping? FTW!)
