Seriously why? Its not fair! All you can do is ease it for about 5 minutes and thats it.

Basically, how do you deal with it and what works best for you during this horrible illness? Also, do you think it can be cured one day?

That's because Chuck Norris hasn't cried yet, as only his tears can cure everything. (Y'all know I had to go there :3 )

Vaccines do exist as a cure for the cold but the fact is that a cold adapts to the vaccine frequently causing research to create a new vaccine, but as long as you keep up your vitamin C then you won't really catch it

I have a horrible cold right now. It's simply unpleasant, and they still make people go to schools with this? Colds are by far the most annoying disease IMO. Ugh! I cannot work on even simple fill in the blank papers without coughing up like a storm, eyes watering, low energy, or blowing my nose constantly.

Anyways, I don't know why there isn't a cure, but I know something that can bring down a cold quickly in a range of 3 days if you drink this constantly. And that, my dear, is green tea, and I love it! Been drinking it everyday and it's working like a charm, and I'm predict that I'll be better in a couple of days. Another is a mixture of hot milk and honey. Works better than most cold medicines IMO. Never underestimate the power of milk or tea!

Ahh you're right about Green Tea. Its powers are very underestimated I've been drinking 4 cups a day since I got sick instead of my usual 2 cups a day. Anymore and I'd be too skinny lol because it burns up calories like a boss.

Well that's true. There's always hot milk and honey. Works as great, and it's very good for you in the mornings, because it helps your skin, gives you protein, lots of stamina, and more! Plus, it tastes SO GOOD IMO! You should try it. For more, you can go here:

I once heard that you can't catch the same cold twice. Is this true? I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the topic...

There's no money to be made in cures, and no there will never be one because of the mutating virus thing.

Technically you can catch the same cold twice depending on how you look at it. I once worked in an office to an online consumer electronics store and brought my cold with me. I managed to pass it around and they passed it on to others over the period of two weeks, by the time everyone has had it and I was fine for a week I recaught a variation of the same cold virus. It changed enough over the period of two to three weeks that I was able to pick it up again.

Yeah coffee isn't really a very good choice because it has a heap load of caffeine, which weakens the immune system. Tea has caffeine too, but has many more good things to provide for the immune system, unlike coffee. Tea good, coffee not recommended, especially from my experience because coffee did help me feel better from my cold last time, but I received another, even worse cold than before quite quickly. Drinking lots of water significantly helps. Really! Whether hot or cold, chug it down!

Omg this is what has happened to me. 3 weeks ago I had a cold and got over it quickly, it didn't go down to my airway or anything and it just vanished. Here I am with what seems to be a cold that has hit me back ten fold. Lol

There is a cure. It's something very rarely used. It's your "Immune System."

If you feel a cold starting, take some (I can't remember the spelling...Sounds like "Echinasia"), and it'll help fight it off. I rarely get colds, maybe because I have good hygiene. The worst I get is some mild allergies once every summer. Taking medication doesn't help in the long run, the viruses just grow more of their own antibodies to fight off the drug's antibodies.
