Hi there,

i know CR wants to sell their roku but i wont buy it.

However, i think of buying a new TV and wondered if some of them can access CR via App or Browser (NetTV) and maybe as Premium Member?
At Last Smart-TV is no real standard so i have to rely on your experiences :-)

Your experiences?

I've a Dell laptop hooked up to an HDMI input port on the television. I run a cable between the too, and basically use my TV as a 1080p monitor. I haven't opened the lid to my laptop in over a year.

I use the browser for everything, including CR and Netflix. Apps? Yeah, apps suck. Browser access for the win.

Yeah but i read that its only an app for android and future TVs, thats what wikipedia says.
So basicly i need a TV supporting GoogleTV wich means it runs on GoogleOS (wiki), wich are afaik not sold yet.

It's not recommended to get a Sony TV with Google Android if you are a gamer since there's supposedly a 1 second delay on anything that goes through HDMI. I would recommend getting a Google TV box (option 2 in the link above) to hook up to your TV instead since an integrated system should not get in the way of the TV's performance.
