Death is the termination of life specifically a being that ceases to be when they can no longer function due to various reasons.

lol, I heard it like it's a change, just a little more drastic than puberty; but nothing to get overly worked up about. ~Way of the Peaceful Warrior

From my limited experience; when my grandfather passed the next morning i was sitting on their porch and saw/felt them sitting beside me like we always had, with a peace about them and a gold glow in and through them. To real for me to deny so i know there's something passed this. I don't think Creator would ever create a hell as an actual place you can't get out of; maybe it's another world/reality where you go to learn lessons if you didn't catch the truth this time around?

Eh, we dont know what death is, we dont even know what life is. Hence all the issue with abortion. Better to admit this and live life (pun intended), Than philosphise about a concept as useful as death. peace over war

I think all we can know is that death is when someone stops being alive. Maybe being alive is just a small phase of something bigger and that would mean death is some kind of beggining.
Also it's just chemistry and biology, the awesome system that is the human body is no longer working and all is remaining is the matter.

Death is part of the process of living. Once life begins it also begins its journey to death ever so slighty. Our bodies cant sustain the pressures from living, activities, sickness, ect for eternity thus the breaking down of tissue and matter occur and when our body can no longer function..we die. But that process of our body breaking down, death, is the process of just that. Death I dont believe is just a single quick swift action but a long a driven out action that takes how ever an individuals life span is

I wish i could know what happens when we die without having to die. I figure we may get reincarnated as something else or maybe theres a spirit world like a heaven

I know what life is.

I have a very indepth explanation.

It is 3 things.

1. First of all, it is a curse. A curse that cannot end, it is a never ending cycle. Everyone that is born strives to survive and is lustful.
Why? Everyone of our ancestors survived long enough to have sex.
What about people that don't care about death and don't want to have sex? Easy, they don't have kids.

2. Secondly life is a cycle within your body. This the cycle is made up of a multitude of other cycles, brain waves, heart rates, chemical and hormonal balances, digestional cycles. These cycles are booted up and kept running by your mother until they are ready to run on it's on.

As a feotus, every part of your body relies on your mother. Her bodies cycles are yours, even heart rate. In a way, her life is borrowed until yours can support it.

3. Life is DNA. Our bodies are mear vessals to carry our DNA. May the best DNA win.

Death. See that pause button on the CD player? Push it, and the music dies.

In the old testament scripture, there is no heaven or hell that you go to when you die. You are 'Paused'. When the 'Pause' is on, you neither praise nor condemn. Sleep is a short version of death. Consciousness is interacting; there is no interacting when dead.

Does math, or astronomy, or art metal, or natural healing fascinate you? Maybe there's a reason; maybe you were fascinated with it, long ago, and you died; and then there is this pinkish jelly in a mother's womb, and you think, "Maybe I'll imprint my desires on this, and do more of what fascinates me." So maybe you don't remember details, but passion and fascination do not need memory. You can ride a bike without remembering how you learned to ride it. And that's your next lifetime.

==============================
The universe is 13 billion years old. The universe is not just dead rocks and radiation. There are many types of life. Some types of life are more successful; the more successful ones spread across the universe faster. Robbing, treachery, stealing, plundering the weak may help in the short run, But over time, that behavior becomes unstable and too predictable, and it kills off new and interesting things that always start our as weak and despised by the majority. Kill those off, and all you are left with, is a bunch of paranoid, conformist killing machines; and because they are so much alike, plague, infection, sudden change in climate, etc. will kill them all off, if their neighbors don't.

Therefore more advanced life has learned that it is a great advantage to protect weaker life, because the weak, the poor, the strangers, can bring in new and valuable things that help life to spread faster than other ways. They may even do this invisibly. And they will kill off the parasites that exploit and destroy those who are weaker.

When someone dies, they may have found something rare and valuable. So, more advanced life will find a way to recycle those memories that might bear fruit in the future. And so, these highly advanced intelligences will find 'Paused' individuals who have promise, and imprint those passions onto a new fetus, to see what will happen. This is inevitable, because life develops and unfolds faster, if humble, original, inventive living patterns are not thrown away. We would not get much accomplished, if all we did disappeared when we went to sleep, and we had to invent everything from scratch when we awoke.

Ive actually thought about this as well but dont really remember... death i would see is a different definition to each individual. i mean some takes death seriously and some doesnt, but i see life as a sort of trial, like a test to see which school we get into and stuff like that. There are some many people in our lives as a sort of 'resource' (btw. this isnt meant to be an insult, i love my friends and family and all those around me as who they are not as a 'resource') but because we all lead our own lives, its like we manipulate it inour own subconscious way... does it make sense? probably not

personally, i see death as a peaceful thing, because we have finally passed the level of life, (cannot imagine what is after atm.)
we say in life there are trials, but actually life is a trial itself, and death is the conclusion of that trial as a result of all the 'resources' we have accumulated in life...

(I've always thought that death was due to a momentary lack of attention to life. Life is natural to man. If he dies it is basically always his fault: if he paid sufficient attention he would be immortal. Unfortunately, in practice continuous attention until an advanced age is difficult and in general (for as long as we have authentic information concerning humanity) men have died. But essentially, it was always through a kind of suicide and through their own fault.)
