Death is when your brain shuts off, ending your consciousness. Remember folks, you are nothing but impulses in meat!

Death is the end of life, but what is the end of life? If its merely the termination of the various vital processes by which the body sustain itself to continue, what causes these vital processes to function in the first place, and what causes it end? But if it is the end of life, what is life? Is it merely the various chemical and biological functions, can all of life merely be defined numbers and variables juxtaposed together between bulky paragraphs? Or is one's life merely a story writ ere any man was created, for us to be cheap entertainment of some higher, all knowing power, who already knows what shall happen, when, why, and how, and who damns and saves as he pleases? Beyond these philosophical speculations, what is the essence of death, its principle and root causes, and its nature?

These questions will never be answered by living mortals, so don't waste your time thinking about it.

Maybe he's just looking for opinions for insight or should he ask questions like "Why is nature natural?"

But he is omniscient, so why would he be looking for insight?

What is wrong with that question?

You don't rot and decay when you sleep.
You stop breathing and dreaming when you die...

What I meant to say is that when you sleep you are not conscious of the world, don't feel anything, don't think anything. And if you want to add...an eternal sleep without dreams. I never dream either way.

You'll get to paradise with lots of virgins, angels and a vulcano full of beer.

Don't judge me.

Death is just an illusion. Nobody ever really dies. The only thing that dies is the body. The body is just a machine that the soul pilots.

The end of life. And thus, as far as I'm aware, the end of conciousness.
Which makes it, in my opinion the suckiest thing in existence, and it makes me extremely bitter...

And where exactly in the body does the soul reside?

If you want to be so philosophical about it.

Ask a rock and it'll tell you the same thing a dead body would.
