Noooo, the reason why I'm living at the moment is because I have a working body, with working organs.

And those organs would not be working at this moment if you didn't take the specific actions necessary to sustain them, such as eating, breathing, etc. The proof that you have a will to live resides in the fact that you do all of these actions, and your soul is the source of this will to live.

Do you have any substancial evidence to back up this claim with?

The only sufficient evidence. Scientific evidence.

What "evidence"? There was no evidence put forward in those articles what so ever. It was just some guy philosophizing without actually putting forth any solid proof to back up his views.
He references scientific theories in order to sound smart and make it seem like he's actually presenting something when it in actuality is nothing of substance at all. Nothing but scam.

Here's some reading for you -- with actual evidence -- on why a soul does NOT exist.

Where is the credibility of the first source? And the second never says anything about it not existing, it is just stating that it may exist and is hypothesizing about the type of physics that would be needed to prove it.

So why do you think that souls do not exist?

Well the first link forwards this: http://www.braininjury.com/symptoms.shtml
Most of the other things in it are common knowledge, and what isn't -- you can easily find with a google search.

And no, that's not at all what the second link concludes. Stop trying to distort the truth in order to fit your agenda, you liar.

Then what does the second link conclude?

Matters concerning souls, afterlives, and so forth are related to discussions on death, but death itself is defined by the absence of brain activity, possibly in combination with the absence of heartbeat and respiration depending upon the jurisdiction.

Death is a condition of the body first and foremost, though the philosophical understandings thereof which do not find their root in experimentation and observation should hardly be ignored or forgotten considering their impact on human societies throughout history.

And the soul resides in the grey matter.
