yap it chase loots companies out of the U.S because there being blocked and there's no point in wasting banned-with to a place that's blocking them

I was actually thinking about members of certain areas of the Internet going so far as to post links to what would become illicit material on the forums and comment pages of the websites associated with supporters of this bill, but that's also a good point.

Thank you very much for bringing up this point. I hadn't considered it, but it is a very important point nonetheless.

you're right, but Obama has no say in this (Thats what i HEARD)

Unless Obama cannot veto this bill (or unless Congress manages to overrule his veto if he can), I'd think that he has plenty to say regarding this.

oh i didn't know that, well if that is the case why doesn't Obama try to stop this?

Because Obama is--no if I say it then people are gonna reply and attack me and I don't need to deal with drama this week.

Just keep this in mind. Say good-bye to speedruns, AMVs, RetrowareTV.com, and all these other things we enjoy if this bill passes.

I was just confronted with this issue on Tumblr. It's generated quite a lot of buzz.

I will say it. It's because Obama is a Authoritarian. Here is the definition of Authoritarian. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/authoritarian

You do realize that there will be more pirating now less, people will say well if they are going to pain me as a criminal anyways might as well go all the way.

This is a weapon period, a weapon of mass destruction that can hit anywhere, you want to watch bleach well maybe crunchyroll can not show it because of that law? Want to play wow to bad someone thought it was a copy right, etc oh course people will say i over react maybe but in the end this will most likely only hurt those who obey the law.

I'm still waiting on blackmarket IP centers to start popping up around the usa because of stupid stuff like this ok how many of you watch the daily show? Now they have to get premission to use a picture of someone running for pres and that person can say no. Or you can not talk bad about someone on the internet without getting blocked.

Just a stupid bill that needs to die

Crunchyroll being able to show Bleach is the same reason as to why Adult Swim gets to on television, because they secured the rights to it and are therefore allowed to show it LEGALLY.
Now if they decided to return to their old ways and show fansubbed series without permission then of course it's going to get hit.

Um... Blizzard has the copyrights to WoW so lol...
Private Servers are a different issue and should be removed from the web since they're hosted illegally.

Obey the law? You're listening to music that you didn't pay for. You're watching videos that were ripped by people who didn't recieve permission from the broadcasting studios. You're playing a game you downloaded off the net instead of paying for it and supporting the companies involved in making it in the first place.
Completly opposite of what a law abiding citizen would be expected to do. Hell, Crunchyroll even posts news stories about people in JAPAN being caught and punished for this kind of act. You know something is up when even another country acts on uploaders and such.

Of course you need their permission to use a picture of someone otherwise you're invading another person's privacy and that's harassment. You wouldn't want random strangers taking pictures of you without your consent now, do you? Hell, even in school you need to friggin sign a piece of paper stating that you consent to having your image show up on camera if they decide to record your class for some project. This isn't new.

Think we have it bad? Two 17 year old boys were arrested in the U.K. for spouting racist comments about another student over TWITTER. If you haven't figured it out by now, hate speech, threats, and advocating violence are not under the protection of the 1st Amendment and you should be ashamed for thinking it should be allowed. Hope you like more blood on your hands due to online bullying, racist attacks, and disparaging remarks against homosexuals since that's what's happening online right now.

Wait a minute here... Doesn't the president veto the bill after the bill actually passes? I mean every bill passed by the legislative branch get sent to the president to be signed before they're implemented right?

Yes and after he vetoes it it goes back to Congress and if there are enough votes in Congress the veto can be over turned.

until some decides for you that bleach or wow should be illegal, and true not the best exsamples but they dont have to be this law is so loosely worded that it would seem you could ban just about anything and everything. As for law abiding citizen so what your saying is that if the law says that you can not use itunes to download music you will obey that law?

So you think that this bill will stop hate, threats etc, I very much think that that will not happen and i agree with you about the hate, bullying, racist attacks etc. Like i said a bill will not stop it only thing that helped me in school was punching the person if i had too but most likely i just make sure they knew not to mess with me.

Like i said but i will go into more detail's:

1) no more youtube walkthrough's of games: (This is not to bad you just have to get permission for one game)
2) no more ign walkthrough's of games: (Do you really think that ign will ask ALL the companies that they review if it is ok?)
3) no more cooking shows that use other people recipes
4) what about pandora will they still be able to stream music?
5) etc

Good things?

1) less bullying of kids?
2) ?

Bad unless this is the only way you can do something now?

1) blackmarket IP
2) price gouging will get worst
3) a increase in blackmarket sells of music/anime/etc

EDIT:
a few exsamples:

1) MichellePhan's Channel on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/MichellePhan she uses some like hatsune miku

2) walkthough's with http://www.youtube.com/user/TobyGames

3) walkthough's with http://www.youtube.com/user/TotalHalibut
