I don't think getting an Anime not of your majority audience a good use of money.

Pesronally I think this title is a very good pickup. It's one that's not being fansubbed, which is a massive plus, and this type of show also seems popular here (Shugo Chara, Yumeiro Patissiere etc)

No, let us not compare this trash to those series. Shugo Chara and Yumeiro Patissiere were intended for a younger audience but even I was able to watch them from start to end. This is just horrible and a waste of money they could use for better series next season.

On the contrary, I hated Shugo Chara and Yumeiro Patissiere but liked this. I know the series doesn't really compare to them, but it does compare to the target audiences so it's not like there's nobody here that likes this stuff. And unlike those two series, this one also has some otaku appeal.

Reminds me of powerpuff girls. Too cute for me.

Obviously you didn't really watch Powerpuff Girls, agree that this doesn't look like my thing though.

Just watched it. I thought it was alright at least I got through the first episode without hitting the back button so its already better than Lucky Star.

I don't know if I want to watch anymore or not...

I don't see what the big deal is. I thought it was funny. The animation is disgusting, but the script is amusing.

Tried Hulu for a few months and it constantly freezes up/crashes. Cancelled it and stuck with Crunchyroll and Hulu's selection of anime isn't really that great. And so true on watching these legally, I'd hate to have someone kick my door down over illegal downloads/viewing lol.

It actually makes me feel better that I wasn't the only one who has had difficulty with Hulu because it did the same thing to me and i cancelled my free trial before it expired which is why I just stick with CR lol

Great! I'm actually excited about this one. I love kids' anime, especially the mahou shoujo-ish type.

It's sad when they charge fees for stuff that doesn't work well, one of many reasons I left warcraft after 6 years play lol. Hopefully crunchyroll keeps bringing us anime, though sad to see stein's gate leaving soon.

If the show makes its minimum guaranteed royalty, then the "use of your money" is simply not how it works ~ royalties come from views, if it makes its MG, then Crunchyroll is earning money because of the viewers who do watch it.

So the only way the comment could possibly make sense is if they bid too much for the minimum guaranteed royalty payment. But you have no idea how much they bid, how much audience it needs to cover it, and how likely it is to draw that audience. Heck, maybe the reason it took so long was they bid very low, and the producer finally got tired of waiting for a better bid to come in, so its entirely possible that Crunchyroll picked up a real bargain.

And of course, the comment is absurd on another front: only serving "the majority" of your current audience would be suicidal in the long run. It would be horrible business strategy for Crunchyroll to ignore an opportunity to make money just because they are making the money from a different group of people than they usually do. Luckily, Crunchyroll does not make that mistake: they bid for all the anime series that are broadcast in Japan.

I wonder how many people posting here made it through the whole episode?

The first 1:30 is a little misleading. After that it just gets... strange. Maybe I'm just too old to understand kids cartoons, but I found most of this disturbing-- in a funny, entertaining sort of way.

Lines like "'Isn't there more of a low risk, high return kind of good deed?' 'I don't think a good deed should require so much calculating.'" and all those almost naked old men and the bored chatter over the looking-pond-thing... made it an interesting bizarre watch. And at 13 minutes i don't feel like I've wasted too much of my time.
