New page has been created to help new ones with getting used to AMP: Glossary.
For now there are only few example entries that probably should be redefined.
If you have any proposition of new entries or updates, put it in here. Best with definition and section it should belong to.

Let's see:

Basic Terms:

Anime Motivational Posters (AMP or /AMP/)
A place where users post Motivational posters using Anime-related images only. usually mainly filled with Motivational Posters, however, now and again there will be RAW images of MOTs or lolcats for other Motters to use or save.

Motivational Posters (MOT)
A imaged inside usually a black border followed by a Title and caption on the black boarder, underneath the image. Originally designed to motivate people to do achieve more.

lolcats
Similar to MOTs, except without the Border. created by using an image and adding text intended to contribute humour.

RAW
these are unprocessed images, usually either screenshots of anime/manga or fanart. they are the base to create Mots or lolcats. Sometimes raw requested are issued by users to be used or added to their own personal collection. Currently, a group known as "Raws for AMP" holds over 11,000 RAWS (and growing) for the AMP community to use.

Motters or /AMP/ers
These are users who contribute to the AMP community by posting Mots on AMP. When a Motter has been posted frequently, and has been recognised by the AMP community, they may be referred to as a "regular"

Lurkers
Invisible beings who "lurks" in the shadow, not posting mots. they only come out to ask questions before disappearing again, sometimes not even contributing. /AMP/ers have devised ways to draw them out, including baits and conversion sticks.

Conversion Stick
A non-lethal weapon. Its shape is not set, so it sometimes can appear to be a stick, while sometimes something completely different. Originally designed to be used on Lurkers so they would post Mots. however, it became nearly impossible to use do to not be able to hit something that cannot be seen. Overtime, it became a ritual weapon used on new Motters to say they have been "converted".

Graveyard Shift (GS)
Situation where there's no new post occur after a long time. In darker times, these could last over 4 hours. When such a thing has occurred, it is necessary for someone to state it and post a GS Mot. To counteract these occurance, Motters have used many tactics to overcome this phenomenon. upon modern times, the Graveyard Shift isn't recognised unless its greater than a period of 1 hour.

Page Theme:
A tactic sometimes used to prevent graveyard shifts. this is usually declared on the 1st post of a new page. The Page capturer would declare a theme, thereby Motters of the same page may follow the theme until a new page is acquired. As of late, the effectiveness of this tactic has decreased greatly.

Memes:

Hideyoshi
Known as the 3rd gender. When a users gender is unknown, they may be referred to as Hideyoshi, "for it is a gender by itself". Term was coined from Kinoshita Hideyoshi (Baka to Test).

Mugi's Cake
A sacred item, adored by all of the AMP community. its taste rivals that of heaven itself. Coined from Kotobuki Tsumugi's (K-On!) delicious cake.

anything in Red i'm not particular sure, so feel free to change it in any way.
