I've heard of it back in like what, 08 or 09? And I haven't heard many people talk about it. For those that don't know, it's like Steam - a software that lets you buy, download and play games. It's kind of like xbox live if you want to think about it. The link to their site is on the bottom. But does anyone play it? Heck even if you have Xbl or PSN, speak of that aswell and your experiences with them.

http://www.onlive.com/

Experiences:

PSN - I never had a mic to use on there so I could barely get to know anyone. But for the most part? People are pretty chilled and relaxed depending on the game they're on. There's hardly any multimedia just for hanging with people. You literally need to have a good game just to experience anything good on there.

Xbl - There's a variety on there. There are tags that you can define yourself with, Recreational (just want to have fun), Pro (you're competitive.) Family (you keep it clean and family friendly) or Underground (you're a trash talker). People come in a variety on there. Course, if you can manage a simple monthly price on there, you're fine.

Steam - Rough about 2 - 3 Mill on there (says so in the Store). They've got decent prices on alot of old games including some you'd find like Castle Crashers and other notables of the same genre. Their most notable game on there is Team Fortress 2 (it's free) unless if you want to stick with the Call of Duty or Battlefield people.

The only games you will ever see me play are the games in the Forum Games.

I reply to everything, even if I don't concur.

Umm... No. There's way more on steam to experience than just TF2, CoD, and Battlefield. I don't even touch those games and I have countless hours of play time. Counterstrike Source is an awesome multiplayer game (much better than CoD imo) I also play a lot of Terraria, Company of Heroes, Day of Defeat: Source, Dawn of War 2, etc... I have over 50 games on my Steam account and I've had a blast with all of them. If anyone here is thinking of getting steam, don't think you're confined to over-hyped titles like CoD and Battlefield. There's so much more to check out.

Fair warning: The Christmas sales will empty your wallet instantly if you're not careful

I have XBL but I tend to stay away from the shooters like cod and battlefield. Alan Wake, Dead Space, Bethesda and any other story driven game is generally what I play. I do still play shooters online but tend to get irritated with others to the point that I'm shouting in rage so I tend not to play them much. That and MW3's campaign is a rushed pile of crap.

Just learned about it now. Not really interested in it.

Why would you use Onlive? It's broken and it's Mac support is horrendous.

No Halo

No Mario

No Arcana Heart big boobs = Fail.

Did hear Mac in a game thread? LOL

Come on now, it's not like a paper keyboard would really work on a computer.

This is general discussion.

And also, I have to use Mac,

Don't want Red rings or a blue screen after all.
