Creepy carriers are putting strange programs in the back ground of our, Symbian, Blackberry, Android and iPhones.

And since Tablets like iPad 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1 have 3G, I can only imagine they have this as well.

This is quite weird, and no one knows why this was put on devices.

This is taking it WAY to far to have ANYTHING to do with piracy.

Check your tablets and smart phones

If you want help checking if your device has this software installed, you can post a comment or PM asking, I know my way around iOS like the back of my hand.

Why do you think this was even implemented? They aren't acting on anything they find, not that I heard of at least.

EDIT: The software tracks everything from dialed calls, SMS, web browsing, key strokes,

Numbers are sent to the carrier even by punching the numbers in and not even pressing the talk button.

Trying to uninstall the software doesn't work on any device, and it doesn't tell you its running in the background.

It even tracks what you do on WiFi, which it shouldn't as carriers aren't allowed to access data that they aren't providing.

Carrier IQ is not a threat on iOS devices since its permenantly disabled for devices running iOS 5 and above. So, if you have iOS 5 running it shouldn't be a problem even if you turn on diagnostic services. Thank god I bought a Galaxy Nexus and it doesn't have Carrier IQ installed nor running. I never trusted other manufactures like HTC. Nokia phones don't have Carrier IQ BTW.
