Hey guys,

The holidays are upon us and what a perfect time to give your family, friends, or yourself the official Crunchyroll Reloadable Game Card. You can use this for a Crunchyroll premium membership, on your favorite gaming/MMO site, and/or at most retail stores (wherever Rixty is accepted). Once you get your Rixty card, you can reload the card at one of their convenient locations.

From December 1st until December 31st you’ll receive a FREE Crunchyroll Reloadable Game Card when you spend more than USD$19.95 using Rixty. How cool would that be?!

It's free to signup and there are NO fees! You can learn more at rixty.com or find a Rixty near you.

*Offer limited to residents of the United States. The FREE reloadable game card applies when purchasing $19.95 or more in a single transaction. Limit one game card per person. Click here for full Terms & Condition.

With Rixty, you can purchase items with cash by going to a store like 7 Eleven. Basically it just converts your physical cash into virtual money. So you don't need a Credit Card if that is what you are worried about. You can find physical locations to load cash to your Rixty account from the following page:

so basically a good promotion for people who don't gots a card or means to pay online. but to spend rixty don't you need to use it online. or by spending 20 bucks meaning buying a code from walgreen or someplace and spending it online? have know clue what rixty is and the site is not all that helpful.
any benefits to someone who owns a credit or debit card? other than a customized cr card, which i would love but its not practical enough to increasing the size of my wallet from back breaker to back destroyer.

Personally, I found this more helpful in understanding the card than their website. http://www.facebook.com/rixty#!/rixty?sk=info

i think the idea is yes its to pay for Crunchy roll but no the 20 bucks is just the start cost to get a card, as well as that 20 going towards your sub fee. im not sure how many months 20 bucks is but i think is about 3-4 may be more.

To get the customized CR Rixty, need to get it loaded with $20. For example, give it for Christmas. Reloading can be done at Coinstar, 7/11, etc.

If you just want to use Rixty at CR, use the Rixty site to find a store near you that has them. It's a code, so the CR design is not needed to make it work.

You could even buy a regular Rixty with enough $$$ to buy the CR Rixty here at the CR site.

For someone with a credit card, it would be useful to avoid the risk of account roll-over when you can't afford it ~ Rixty can never spend more than you load onto the card. Its also useful to budget how much you spend on these different things ~ its not just Crunchyroll, after all, its an paid site account that takes Rixty.

If someone doesn't have a credit card, yes, you could buy this so they could watch CR. A month at a time is about $8, but $20 will buy a 3 month subscription. Of course, just because it has the CR design, its still a Rixty card, so they could also use it at any site that takes Rixty.

I think this is purely for kids and teens who aren't old enough to get a debit or credit card yet would like to have the advantages of having one... although the usefulness of this is way less than just buying a prepaid or reloadable card with a VISA/Mastercard logo on it that would be an acceptable form of payment practically everywhere on the planet.

Except this is no fee, and you can reload it at a Coinstar machine.

If you read the membership comparison:

You will not see any display ads except for direct sponsorships, which include front-page takeovers and integrated promotions. Premium Members will never see video advertisements for the videos in their section.

You should have been presented with the full terms when you signed up for a premium membership.

I suppose you're one of those people that insist on every minute detail being spelled out in every promotion or ad, which usually results in a wall of text at the bottom that people don't read (and which you obviously wouldn't, since you apparently didn't read it when you signed up).

No advertisements on the streams. For anyone who care to check the details, they explain quite clearly on the membership comparison pages that there are going to be advertisements on the home page. For example, the footnote to the "No Advertisements" in the "Premium Members" column says:

3. You will not see any display ads except for direct sponsorships, which include front-page takeovers and integrated promotions. Premium Members will never see video advertisements for the videos in their section.

For paying members, its your choice whether or not you see the direct sponsorships ~ if you want to skip the front page take-overs, then bookmark the sections you want to visit and skip the front page.

Thanks for the explanations guys.

Why not just use paypal? You can even preload paypal with a prepaid card if you don't have a credit card or debit card. I can't imagine who doesn't have a debit card by the age of 13 anymore anyway... First credit card was at 14, first debit card was at 10.
