Poor kitty :<
My dad has been studying reptiles for years, and i used to follow him in fields from time to time,
but i've NEVER seen a snake eat a kitty before o-o.

Pfft, the advertisment above the forum page says:
"Curiosity killed the cat box."
Sorry for going off topic, but i found that ironic....

*Sigh* this is just like the hype over the girl throwing puppies into a river. My reaction remains the same from what i saw about that when I came across it on Funnyjunk, I don't care and I feel that calling him sadistic and sick is a bit of an overreaction, personally. Why aren't there hundreds of these for the poor mice that pet snakes get fed every single day? I mean this is no different from using a rat. (Except that it's a cat instead of a rat.)

The fact that he recorded it and put Christmas music behind it is what makes this whole thing really sick.

Tbh I think it's wrong to feed the python anything that is alive.

That is sort of odd that he would put it to music but I guess that's just personal taste or extreme trolling. I don't necessarily disagree with you on feeding live things to snakes for the intent and purpose of being cruel. However I don't see it being wrong since it's the natural way of things. Something alive becomes dead and is then consumed by it's killer. This is true for all animals on the planet. However humans have gotten away from this in some cases. That's just my own views on the subject.

It's nature when it naturally occurs, not when it's assisted.

Although I do see where you're coming from and I don't entirely disagree with you.

What a sicko. 6 months in a jail isn't going to teach him anything though. As soon as he's out he'll be getting right back to being a sadistic bastard.

Hopefully the snake isn't harmed. It's in its nature to hunt and kill. All blame belongs to the owner.

Wait wait wait.... whats the difference REALLY between feeding a snake a mouse and feeding a snake a cat.... thats nature people... I really dont see why he should get jail time... people feed their animals everyday what makes a cat so much more important than a mouse? Its not like the "cat" is an endangered species or anything... I guess mice have no souls but cats do? please explain in your following rantings about my post.

And about the Christmas music... maybe he really loved his snake and was giving it a christmas meal other than its usual food? so He played christmas music.

The difference is:

Cats aren't pests.

I've fed plenty of mice to snakes. The difference is that I wouldn't go to the bother of Christmasing up a mouse, playing Christmas music, and then filming it just for shock value.

That's all the video was made for. Shock value. He could have fed the snake anything, but he fed it a kitten to Christmas music to shock people. And it worked. However, sacrificing a kitten's life just to make people go :O is really sick. The kitten wasn't chosen because "A snake's gotta eat." It was chosen because it would cause the biggest shock.

As for the soul business, I'm an atheist, so to me souls don't exist anyway.

Edit: For the record, sacrificing ANY animal's life just to shock people is sick, be it mouse our cat.
