I thought I was happy,
It was fake.
I knew I couldn't live forever like this.
The hate and betrayal was getting to me.
Now that is gone.
I'm happy
I can tell the world has been
lifted from my shoulders.
This is my true self,
Straight forward,
never caring what was in the past.
I can smile a true smile,
laugh a true laugh,
just be me.
But when she's around
it feels like the world is against me.
I was blind before,
never knowing what I was doing.
Now, I feel happy.
I can see again.
No pain from her;
the rejection and hatred.
Now I have someone new,
someone I always knew.
