Crunchyroll App is available on Amazon Kindle Fire Now!
|
That hurts my developer brain. I wonder if they'd let me take over for whoever's doing it now.
Well they've had a bit longer on the iOS side - things in iOS but not in Android include: - ability to see your profile and guestbook (ok not major) - episode notifications (essentially sends you a notification when a new episode of a show you're watching comes out) - search ability (so you don't have to scroll the entire list to find something) - better organization of episodes - including the "recently added" category - it also seems to get a better quality stream when run on iPad, vs. iPod - while the Android app doesn't seem to do so - at least not on my Kindle Fire |

Thank you Crunchyroll for answering my tech support request on this! Your customer service is awesome (which is why I encourage others to do the premium membership)
(Often the apps just need to apply to be on amazon's app store. Cool!) |

In all the apps, I'd like to see implementation of the queue - this is so nice on the website, I'd love it in the mobile apps!

And it wouldn't be difficult to implement. I'm saying that as a seasoned iOS developer. The lack of it is practically insulting. To us and to CR who is paying the tab for sub-par work. |

Reading this makes me want to get a amazon fire, even though it might take a few months to save up for it

toonpenguin wrote: Reading this makes me want to get a amazon fire, even though it might take a few months to save up for it I have the same feeling... I stayed away from the iPad due to the sheer cost and the fact I wouldn't be cool anymore when I couldn't afford the next version. I really had been contemplating the Nook or the Fire and I'm now leaning towards Fire.... not just because of the CR app, but it certainly helps. |

So far behind on anime... need to catch up

@Cecil its A "modified" Android OS for the Kindle Fire, so I've heard. So yeah it's essentially Android driven. |

Not yet ~ I use the m.crunchyroll site with the nook browser, but I wish it had the Queue and that episodes launched directly into full screen mode, or else had a separate finger-sized full screen button next to the flash window. Right now I've just directly bookmark the series pages in the Nook browser, to get around the lack of the queue. Most of the time I hit the full screen button once the episode starts playing in the window, but its awfully tiny on the Nook browser, and every once in a while I miss. But all in all its more convenient for me to use the m.crunchyroll site than the full site on the nook, which involves quite a lot of pinch-to-zoom to make things big enough to hit with my fingers. |

Still older than the President and younger than The Ancient One
