The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim BLOWS!
Posted 12/6/11
I think the PS3 version has most of the problems, still that doesn't mean it's a broken game and due IGN reviews with certain games in the past I don't trust IGN example: MW3...

Perhaps those tiny voices may be heard but to flame a game over so much and refusing to see it's positive sides are rather silly. Every game you ever get will be flawed. It's been that way since the dawn of video gaming. If I had a dime for every person who gets pissed off, nitpicks, and whines about every single small little thing in or about a game, I'd be richer than Bill Gates.

Less Q-Q, more pew pew.

Well I myself haven't experienced huge downer-bugs yet thank god, but(!) why Bethesda?
Why do you give eg. a Quad-core as recommendation yet I need a freaking mod to use more than 2GB RAM?!
The game obviously is very CPU-sided - so I understand the Quad-core-act, though seriously why the hell do you only use 2 Cores to max?
I don't get it.
Games (eg BF3) I get with my rig pretty decent graphics on acceptable frame rates. Skyrim on the other hand - well to be nice - has mediocre graphics yet the performance is just lower than low.
As it's not an uncommon appearance I assume it's not my PC but the bad PC-adaption. Sad.

That said .... I enjoy Skyrim nevertheless.

It seems Crunchyroll is also plauged with blind fanboys who can't tell right from wrong,

Nobody here gave an argument that isn't defunct.

The game is REALLY massive! They can't see all the bugs!

Simple answer,

They shouldn't have released a game they KNEW had game breaking bugs, no matter how big a game is, you're obligated to make it work on every platform, ESPECIALLY if you're charging 60$ for it.

You should have expected it

So.... I'm supposed to be cautious in GameStop, not knowing if a game will work if I don't have internet? I'm supposed to ask numerous people in the store, how much they played and if it's playable? That's not how it's supposed to be, I shouldn't fear my game working or not, it should work, who gives a crap how big it is, its not my problem, they should have beta-tested this game, or maybe they did release a beta test?

Every game has bugs

No shit, not all games got bugs like these.

http://www.1up.com/news/skyrim-patch-12-issues-dragons-flying-backwards

http://games.ign.com/articles/121/1212511p1.html Most important

Now go find glitches and bugs equal to these on Halo: Reach, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Uncharted 3.

Chances are.....

They don't exist.

Most people have internet, at least while you complain, they fixing the problem

First off, you need to get ahold of yourself, you're making yourself look really stupid.

It's on disc, so Steam isn't the only way to get it.

It's on... PS3(Unplayable) 360(Near Unplayable) and PC(Unplayable without patches).

People are taking everything for granted nowadays, they think all 7.9 Billion in the world have internet for their consoles.....

If you spend your entire life, online on Crunchyroll, YouTube and FaceBook,

Chances are you would think everyone's online...

The world extends beyond forums, get accounted with it, ask all your friends at school do they have internet, some will say....

NO.

Go to Alaska, they play PS3 and 360 just like US!

Do they have internet most of the time? Hell no, there are bears, moose and wolves out there, they got more to worry about than wondering if Bethesda released a working game.

Skyrim isn't a spectacle.

Skyrim isn't fantastic.

Skyrim isn't bigger than most games like Bethesda wants you too believe.

Skyrim wasn't in development for 10 years,

Skyrim is...buggy, and that's all it'll ever be.

For once, I wish Elder Scrolls fanboy/girls would realize, not everyone has 6mps download speed, and not all have internet to download patches.

Patches don't get accounted for a game over all because not everyone has online.

I keep repeating myself because you guys wanna believe EVERY copy of Skyrim has access to online.

You wanna know why these people haven't bashed Bethesda with online polls? Videos on youtube and comments on IGN?

Because they don't have fucking internet.

EDIT:

Scroll to the bottom of the page.

This game achieved a feat no other game has.

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/121/1214016p1.html#disqus_thread

Bethesda titles broke PC(To an extent) and 360's before.

But this time they broke a PS3.

Farewell, Bethesda.

If you hate a game so much, why flame its community so hard and call people to stop supporting it? I feel as if that would be the actions of a troll. If people want to play let them play it, don't try and ruin the fun for anyone else who derives enjoyment out of the game. If you don't like it, simply just don't play it.

I'm sorry, I was going to post another reasonable argument to counter your nonsense, but now I've got a mental image of Alaskans being trapped in their homes by prowling wolf packs, too terrified to go outside and install an internet cable for fear of being mauled.

You sir, are ridiculous and hilarious in equal measure, and the fact that it's unintentional just makes it funnier!

No one here thinks that, but most people that play video games probably have internet.

What?!? Alaska isn't some sorta barren wasteland where you need to fend off bears, wolves, and moose (WTF?).

Your only responding to the weaker arguments instead of the major ones that everyone is saying. You can't say the game isn't being fixed because it is being fixed, regardless of who has internet.

I think the lag and crashes are doing more damage to the fun than anything else.

You talk of this "community" is quite hilarious as the community is reaching out to Bethesda,

I'm way to elaborate to be a troll, I really hope you realize that just because someone dislikes something, they don't need to be tied to a negative term just because they aren't praising something you enjoy.

If you want broken products, that fine, but don't just sit there and ruin it for everyone else who doesn't want Bethesda to continue to make games that are broken, we want them to work.

If you don't wanna help, find someone else to preach too.

I'm sorry if offended you, i was in no way calling you a troll. I was simply reflecting on the actions and wording you were taking. I completely agree with you Bethesda does have a habit of release buggy games. But what they are attempting at, I believe to be quite ambitious and most games coming out now a days, not like the 8-bit games i grew up with, all if not most have bugs in them. Coding a game at such size as Skyrim is going to be quite difficult, if not damn hard. That's why I think you cant fault them at that.

I don't want to piss you off but are you in a bad mood or something? I saw you created a fan-hate post and now this (regarding Skyrim and Sony). .Personally I don't hate Skyrim ( in fact it's pretty fun for me) but I do find it awkward when people proclaim it being the best and having a lot of hype for it. Regarding, Sony, most of the consoles I have are Sony but I wouldn't say I'm their fan boy.

Do as you wish though, the internet is a nexus for expression. So it's good you're standing up for something you disagree with rather than keeping it quiet.

I disagreed because there are games larger than Skyrim that aren't as.

Such Red Dead Redemption, Final Fantasy 13, Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope.

Bethesda's ambitions are great and I love them, I spent about 100 Hours on Fallout 3 but stopped because the game would crash when I picked up a Chinese Pistol or anything really, everytime I picked up something, the game froze.

I kept falling though the scenery on New Vegas(Co-developed by Bethesda)

And Oblivion gave my friends Xbox the red rings, so I never tried it.

I know the bigger the game, the harder to spot the problems, but thats the risk that comes with programming,

If your game is large than you take more time than usual, simple right?

Release a demo,

Let people beat it up at E3 or some kind of expo.

Have a limited beta, by all means,

But releasing a non-working product, no matter how big, ambitious, and full of life it is, is not an option.

After so many problems and patches I've been through with Bethesda games, it made me realize all those people who didn't have internet, their games are forever broken and that's 60$ dollars on top of a non working product.

That thinking made me realize.... Even though you have the ability you patch nowadays, doesn't mean you can use customers as beta testers, paying customers.

This selfish act has gone on long enough.

EDIT: Nah, I'm not in a bad mood, I just dislike Bethesda and their buggy applications they know will sale, it slightly grinds my gears that Bethesda always half asses everything and puts it out, knowing it will receive good scores and sales, regardless of how it plays.

Bethesda's not the only one I've been playing a game called MAG created by Zipper Interactive starting last year and up until this year august its fun, but the freezing and the glitching does get out of hand hell even after the development teams 11 or more patches it didn't fix anything hell the freezing still exist.
