Final Fantasy X was the best it was the first Final Fantasy game with voice over. Titus and Yuna's love story was so tragically beautiful, the music especially the ending song were the absolute perfect fit. Plus the aeons were awesome including the three extra ones, also additional gameplay due to the hidden areas.

It depends on my mood, I guess.
If I just wanna tool around with the mechanics, of course I'd pick Final Fantasy: Tactics, or Final Fantasy V.
If I wanna read a decent story, then I'd pick Final Fantasy: Tactics, or Final Fantasy VI.
If I wanna blow the time past, Final Fantasy: Tactics.
If I wanna turn off my brain and watch colors, Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest.

I guess, though, Final Fantasy: Tactics would be my favorite.

My favorite was FFX. It was what got me into the Final Fantasy series in the first place.

Anyone who says VII or X is flat out wrong. I say VI is the best, but I have a very soft spot for IX and XII. I would say XI here, but I don't think that counts.

The series that really connected with me are FF8 and FF13.

My playstyle is different from other people, I don't like exploring. I like engaging in the stories and getting to the main battles ASAP.

Sidequests and whatnot are boring for me.

So FF13 was perfect for me. I also liked that I could upgrade my weapons. Then they changed everything in FF13-2... which was frustrating for me.

I hope for FF13Lightning Returns, they stick to their own ideas... instead of taking feedback from fans. Because not everybody likes exploring.

My favourites would have to be:
4, 6, 7, 10, 12, 13, Tactics, and Crisis Core.

The thing with this series is that each game in the series is unique in some way and has a different approach and concept than previous games. To me, the Final Fantasy series takes the phrase, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" in a very literal sense. Each game in the series appeals to a different type of player, which is why each Final Fantasy has its own set of fans. The thing with the Final Fantasy series is to be able to see and appreciate the strengths each game has.

i feel FFX was overrated. although there are aspects i enjoy, like the battle system, i couldn't get myself to enjoy the story or characters (with the exception of Auron). I enjoyed FFV and FFIX the most though.

My two favorites are 7 and 10.

FF7- Not because everyone loves but because it was the first FF I ever played but, I never got far in the story since I didn't have a memory card at the time. I would just watch my uncle play on his playstation and see what was going on in the game, but I still didn't understand since I was like 6 or 7 when I played the game. But later on when I was a teen I actually understood what was going on, and knew what I was doing when I equipped each character's materia. The mini games at the Golden saucer were fun. I also liked using each of the character's different overdrives. Sad that Aerith died and that Cloud became kind of depressing. But I still consider him and Zack one of my favorite characters! Especially using him in Dissidia!

FF10- Although I played 7 first I actually passed 10 first. I really enjoyed the story although the ending was pretty sad. I liked each of the characters, and their abilities in the game. Yuna is my favorite character and I'm glad she was with Tidus and not ugly Seymour. Also the way the battle system was setup. Instead of only having 3 character's in your battle party you can switch them around anytime during the battle. The sphere grid was pretty cool way of leveling them up and blitzball was nice too. Also being able to battle powerful monsters in the battle arena.

Although there's a few, I actually really liked FF6. I'll have to go with that one.
