The upcoming mystery anime Hyouka just had some of its first premiere pictures posted. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2012/02/23/official-stills-from-episode-1-of-hyouka-anime-posted#comments

Anyone guess who may license this? I'm hoping CR since this will be my wildcard if Dusk Maiden of Amensia fails to make the cut.

Hyouka will be produced by Kadokawa since the light novels it is based on are published by Kadokawa. Until this winter, Kadokawa had anime licensed by Funimation and the now-defunct Bandai Entertainment. Sentai did get the license for Another(distributed by Kadokawa). Based on the fact that Kadokawa is one of the parent companies of Nico Nico Douga and its ties to Funimation, I would guess that this has a 75% chance of being simulcasted by Funico. It being a mystery series and how Funi hasn't licensed a KyoAni series since Full Metal Panic: 2nd Raid(I think) may give Sentai an in here.

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia is a tricker one to predict. One of the networks is Animax, which is owned by Sony(the parent company of Aniplex). Aniplex has a good relationship with CR so if Aniplex is handling it, then there is a good chance of CR snagging it. It's similar to Another as far as having a ghost and a mystery but it is a lighter series than Another. So I wouldn't rule out Sentai licensing Dusk Maiden either.

EDIT: Did some checking, and it looks like Media Factory could be the ones distributing Dusk Maiden(which gives Funi some chance at getting it), it is done by the same animation studio that did BakaTest and C3(both Funimation licenses) and the manga is serialized in the magazine that Inu X Boku SS was(so maybe Square Enix is involved in this somehow). Yeah, I still wouldn't rule out Sentai licensing it.

Are you sure about 13 episodes for Zetman? That episode count couldn;t possibly be right considering the trailer for the anime showed content up to volume 10 of the manga.

Thanks. I'll add those after work tonight, along with the premiere date and time for Medaka Box.

It is YTV you would need to be asking.

You can click on the link yourself and see it is indeed listed as 13 episodes. I would certainly think the network airing the series would know the number of episodes.

I thought at first perhaps it was a split season, but I notice they list Lagrange as 26 episodes, so it appears that it taken into account.

it also looks like beelzebub is continuing since its still being listed as 50+ episodes which is good.

But Beelzebub is already past 50 episodes, since it started last winter. I do hope it continues though. Since most of the episodes seem to be filler right now, it seems odd to end with that. Beelzebub also missed more episodes than other shows due to the tsunami last year. Cardfight started a week before Beelzebub, but it has 4 more episodes.

I'll be updating the initial message again within the next few hours, but I wanted to mention that any hopes we had of seeing the Yamato 2199 series in the summer (much less this spring, which was always unlikely) were dashed and dashed hard:

So, I'm assuming Sket Dance won't make it into the Spring season this time around?

I've read somewhere that Tatsunoko Productions had only produced 51 episodes and we are well on the way to that with the latest episode 46.

It's still unknown, but nothing has been announced to take it's timeslot yet.

Updates to the initial message in this topic:

Added premiere date and time for Medaka Box, Nazo no Kanojo X, and Shirokuma Café.
Added episode counts for Hiiro no Kakera, Uchuu Kyoudai (Space Bros.), and Zetman

I also note Neregate posted a 3.1 version of their chart, but this had no additions, only a few minor corrections:

Gakkatsu! Anime’s summary.
Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden Anime’s title.
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Anime’s title.
Shining Hearts Anime’s title.

Except for the Gakkatsu! summary these had already been listed in my information below the chart.

If you want this corrected version of the chart, it is available here:

I was wondering how this was going to work out, since it didn't make sense to have a movie release at the same time as airing on TV.

It is an interesting idea: show several episodes together as a "movie" and then release the DVD shortly afterward. I guess the TV broadcast will only be done after they've released all the episodes.

Got it. I checked ANN after work tonight and just finished updating the initial message.

Given the way ANN lists the premiere dates, most or all of those are probably technically the next day (early AM), but neither Fansub Wiki or Countdown have updates listed for those series at this moment. I'll probably have to do another update tomorrow.

Updates to the initial message in this topic:

Added premiere dates for Accel World, Natsuiro Kiseki, Tasogare Otome x Amnesia (Dusk maiden of Amnesia), and Zetman.
Updated chart to version 3.1.
