Glad more anime is coming out soon.
Interested in the OVA for Another and the show Nazo no Kanojo X. |

Sakamichi no Appolon will only be 12 episodes.
I'm extremely disappointed. 9 volumes in 1-cour is impossible. |

That episode count sounds suspect for one reason: It is a noitaminA series, and those have traditionally been either 11 or 22 episodes. |

It has 29 volumes of manga material and MAL lists it as unknown # of episodes atm. This is such an underrated series tbh and not to mention the fact that it's streamed every Friday here on CR. From ANN, the manga often shows up on the bestseller lists for a week or two when a new volume comes out, but it seems like one of the lower budget series ~ no way to tell if that is because they could barely make the production budget or that is in preparation for a long run. I would expect it to come to the climax of an arc at the end of Spring and get put back on the shelf, but who knows ~ maybe its doing great on Animax Asia and they'll given the enough to make sure another season gets made. |

While checking Neregate for a new chart (still no version 4), I came across this in the comment section:
Just so you know, Kikansha Thomas is nothing new. It’s just the Japanese Dub of Season 14 (Season 16 is airing on UK TV right now). The only reason that it was re-announced on Moonphase/other Japanese sites is because it’s returning from a 2-year break. Earlier seasons aired on Fuji TV and TV Tokyo from 1990 till 2010 (break in 2011) So this is neither an anime or new. The response indicated it will be removed from version 4 of the chart. At this point, however, I am beginning to wonder if version 4 will come out while it is still relevant. It has been over a month since the last update, and April is almost upon us. I fear the person who does the Neregate charts may be suffering from "chart fatigue". If so, I wonder who will pick up the banner. |

I haven't seen any mention of how many episodes Sakamichi no Appolon will be yet. If you have a source link I'd appreciate it. If it's true it does sound weird that Shinichiro Watanabe and Yoko Kanno would be taken so lightly in the anime industry. I'd think that everyone would be placing their money on them, especially when Appolon is a project that they are both really excited to produce. Coming of age and jazz. This is exactly the kind of series I’ve been waiting for. I entreat everyone to listen to the heartbeat of life of the brilliant young jazz musicians who performed the sounds that could be heard from the original work. Yoko Kanno I'm thinking this show gets at least a 22 episode first run. If it is a 12 episode test run then anime industry seriously is in it's death throes. |

(10 episodes) Premiere: April 7, 2012 @ midnight Studio: XEBEC Primary network: Nico Nico Douga Comment: Episode count and premiere date and time are listed by both Fansub Wiki and Countdown. (Countdown lists the premiere as April 8 @ 12:00 AM). I would expect this to be simulcast by NicoNico.com, as well. Apparently this is a TV series and the Nicolive stream is only a pre-airing. It may not even be a Spring series either (Source). It's still possible that there are more than 1 pre-airings though. Eureka Seven Ao (Eureka Seven: Astral Ocean) Premiere: Friday, April 13, 2012 @ 1:55 AM Studio: Bones Primary network: MBS A special episode will be aired the week before the premiere. Some sites are listing it as Eureka Seven ep 51, so it's presumably just a recap. I'm also surprised that it doesn't have a daytime timeslot - the series is perfect for a ~6pm timeslot if you ask me... Hopefully the slot won't restrict the number of episodes, but I guess it's still a viable option as the second half of the first season was also a late night anime (the first half was 7am), and the DVD sales were rather good. Also the first part of the Japanese Niconico's lineup is up. If google translator is right there may be a second batch to come, but currently it looks very small. |

It is listed in the same manner as Mirai Nikki (The Future Diary) was. I will try to remember to add some clarification the next time I update. It appears some cautioning this may not actually be a Spring 2012 series may also be in order. Also the first part of the Japanese Niconico's lineup is up. If google translator is right there may be a second batch to come, but currently it looks very small. Looking at their spring lineup, I see three shows (Aquarion Evol, Mouretsu Pirates, and Recorder and Randsell) that will be continuing, and from the fall of last year, I seem to recall seeing that gdgd Fairies would be getting another season. That, however, still leaves a number of slots to fill to match the total lineup they had this season. As usual, this also gives us a better idea of what shows will be simulcast. This season we had 2 shows on niconico.jp that were not simulcast by any company in the U.S., and for most of Fall 2011, the same (with gdgd Fairies finally being picked up near the end). 2 of these 9 have already been announced as simulcast by CR, and a third (Fate/Zero) seems certain. |

Possible Crunchyroll simulcast Shining Hearts ~Shiwase no Pan~ Crunchyroll? TAN? Haiyore! Nyaruko-san already announced as a Crunchyroll simulcast Hiiro no Kakera already announced as a Crunchroll simulcast Fate/Zero 2nd reasonable to expect same situation as fall(JP Niconico simulcast, then week-delayed Crunchyroll simulcast) Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future ? For some strange reason, CR has Horizon listed in there as a ongoing simulcast when the 2nd season is slated for summer. PapaKiki is also listed as ongoing but ANN lists it as 12 episodes. |
