For example, looking at the Winter of 2012 you would note 4 anime starting or airing in December, and one starting in February, but January having the vast majority. The peak months for each season's premieres are January, April, July, and October. It is unusual for CR to get any of the early or late premiering anime for any season. well deadman wonderland was a late premeire and they got that so it has happened before. |

Deadman Wonderland premiered April 17, 2011 in Japan. To meet the parameters I outlined for a late premiere, it would needed to have debuted in May. I thought perhaps it had premiered on Crunchyroll late, and you were referring to that instead, but a quick search turned up that it was announced on March 30, 2011, and apparently started streaming on Crunchyroll on April 16, 2011 (U.S. time). Keep in mind, however, that even if CR did begin streaming as series late, only the actual premiere in Japan is germane to the discussion. I should point out that I did say "unusual", which implies it does happen on infrequent occasions. One example would be Squid Girl 2, which was a late September premiere. |

Only Medaka Box sounds interesting. Although I might give AKB0048 and Shining Hearts a shot after reading comments about it. Winter line-up is way better than this.

Keep in mind you're judging the Winter lineup by (what should be) 100% of its lineup, but the Spring by what is probably only 1/3 of its lineup. Speaking of which, I note we have a new addition, Uchū Kyōdai (Space Bros.), which I will probably add to the initial message after work tonight. |

I love being surprised with animes that I didn't think I would like. Anyway, thanks for the update! |

Is Hiiro no Kakera based off a video game? I never heard of this title before. Looks like a romance based series with medieval-like elements.
