Anime CD Soundtracks
Posted 12/17/11
So. Do you anime lovers have CD soundtracks of Anime? There are so many on the market in Japan, and I ordered directly from there for nearly 5 years. My first were of the anime "UFO Princess Valkyrie" consisting of character singles and others. Many more followed of various animes. To date, I have 33 CDs so far. And all were injected to my Ipad.

There is something about the music. How it's played, the instuments, the singing. It has such a great appeal to me.
I hear it while driving. Or at work. I am not moving away from other music here in the states. Still into classic rock, metal
alternative, things like that. But, what is it about anime music that gets to me? I think the more you listen to it, the more you learn.

In a month away, I would order more new CDs like the release of Squid Girl (finally!), Lucky Star, Chu-Bra for now. Reminding you, these are not sold here in the states. They are authentic Japan. I love it.

I've been importing anime CD's for a long time to. My first anime CD's were the three escaflowne OST. The only down side though is the price about 1200 yen for a single and 3000 yen for the full CD. I have a few anime CD's I plan to buy to.

I just get mine online~
My favorite OST is Panty and Stocking's <333 it has 2 OST's. The first one's from the show and the second one are REMIX versions and a drama *U*

I like it because the music really fits the art style and the show itself. XD I just love electro music! <3
but... the names are a little awkward.. well.. as expected from P&S XD all the profanity XD
BUT DANNGG THE MUSIC IS SOLID GOLD <33333

It is solid gold! And that's the word I was looking for "electro" describing the music. It's superb recording just as similar to like the band
Pink Floyd from the 70's. And I'm still a Floyd fan.

There's an anime store at my local mall, and it's full of soundtracks. I love it, but I haven't bought anything yet.

I've got 162 of them, personally. Mostly official North American releases and imported CDs.

My CD collection actually has more anime soundtracks than regular US music releases.. I have a tendency to go "oooooh that's pretty".. and write down the name of the anime and go hunting for it!

That would be awesome because it seems, maybe just to me, that one forks out too much money when importing from Japan online. I love me my goddamn music but over 35 dollars for one CD is insane.

You can blame the lousy exchange rate for the prices. And by the way, $40 is becoming WAY more common now for a legitimate CD, and that's assuming you're not buying a limited edition, which seem to be going for around $45 to $50 nowadays, if you're lucky. Maybe when the exchange rates improve one day CD prices will go back to more reasonable prices.

As to the original question, I have easily bought hundreds of Anime CDs. Most of them are vocal collections, with a few exceptions. The exceptions being BGMs (Background Music or OSTs).

+1. Everything in my state currently raising in prices not only in CDs (anime or other media) but nearly every consumer product. Not too surprising for me since CA is @ around 200b+ deficit.

I only have one anime soundtrack so far and its from Fushigi Yuugi, I believe from one of the OVAs.

this one:

Of course at the time I was looking at it at a thrift store not knowing what the heck it was for but it was a buck so I figured why not lol.
There are probably a bunch that I want to get, not many off the top of my head other than Fairy Tail but i'll probably end up buying more at some point.
