One-sided love equals pain and loneliness. It's probably more lonely than being alone.

I've been in a situation like that, but the blunt truth brought me closure. (It took a good month or two and complete isolation from that particular person though)

In the end, I would suggest you go do what you want in life without chasing after love. That way when it Does pop up, it will be fruitful and satisfying and healthy.

On a side note, a lot of these replies on this topic are just hilarious! (sorry if I offend you)

If I remember right, When I was 16-17 I tought about love a lot since I loved that girl for so long...we got together after like 7-8 months...it lasted a year..it was a great year..but then I went away and broke up. Now I see her again after like 3-4 years and I don't love her anymore, even tho I loved her more than anything else before. Righ now, I didn't fall in love for about 3 years so I dont get that bad feeling of needing your loved one close to you...
time will pass and you will probably forget your one sided love and think about something else, even tho you think it's impossible right now, as sad and cold as it is.

It's actually happening to me right now. It's not the story of my life and i don't plan to make it THE story of my life either. But the feeling sucks. And basically i don't even dare to confess to the person i love. So in my case i'm generally a coward. That's one sided love too ya?
