Andy selected as promotion ambassador for Nivea


Shinhwa's Andy has been selected as the promotion ambassador for international beauty brand Nivea for its new Beauty Line range.

Having just completed Shinhwa's 10th anniversary concert, Andy is now back in the thick of action with his solo activities. He has been selected as the ambassador for Nivea's Deodorant Pearl Beauty product, and will be taking part in its launch events. His role will be to relay the male ideals of feminine beauty to the public.

A Nivea rep said, "In our survey of celebrities who possess a gentle and delicate appeal, Andy came out tops. We feel that Andy is able to relay the male notion of feminine beauty."

On the launch event on 3 April. Andy will make an appearance with Solbi, who plays his wife on MBC's We're Married. Andy and Solbi will be sharing their thoughts on what constitutes a sexy woman and other topics related to feminine beauty at the event.

Currently busy with his solo album and variety show appearances, Andy will end his activities for Love Song, and move on to the promotional activities for his follow-up single.

Jun Jin Prepares to Take Japan by Storm

Shinhwa member Jun Jin will hold his first solo concert in Japan, the same year Shinhwa reaches the 10-year anniversary of their debut.

Jun Jin has planned two performances on the 26th (2pm, 7pm) at the C.C. Lemon Hall in Tokyo for 5000 fans. There was only one show originally scheduled but when the 2500 tickets sold out in five minutes, they decided to add another performance.

Since this is Jun Jin's first solo concert in Japan, he sought out director Kim Seo-ryong, one of the best in the field at stage productions for concerts. They are also planning a pan-Asian tour during which the singer's first solo album will be released to coincide with his concert in Korea.

Prior to his Tokyo concert, Jun Jin is scheduled to meet fans for a two-day trip through Fukushima, Japan. They will dine together, play group games, take commemorative photos, and the singer will sign personal autographs.

And on May 7th, the cable TV network So-net--which is currently introducing Hallyu dramas to its audiences--will begin broadcasting the SBS TV drama "Let's Go to the Beach" starring Jun Jin, Lee Wan, Lee Chung-ah and Kang Jung-hwa.

Andy to hold his 1st solo concert in China

Shinhwa's Andy, who released his first solo album in early January and held his own solo concert, will be holding his first solo concert in Shanghai on 19/20 April. Til now he has had several concerts in China as part of Shinhwa, but it's his first as a solo artiste this time.

Andy said, "Because it's my first solo concert overseas, so I'm really looking forward to it. I'll prepare hard so that I can present special songs and performances on stage."

Chinese fans have also got together to write the song "New Dream" as a gift to Andy, and Andy is expected to perform it together with the fans at the concert, further fueling the fans' anticipation. On top of that, Chinese fans from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, together with fans from Korea, Japan and other Asian countries have also been enquiring about the concert.

Andy plans to hold a solo concert in Japan after the China concert, in at the same time with his solo album activities and his variety show appearances.

Solbi confesses "I'll get jealous when I see Andy with other girls"

Typhoon's Solbi, who has been appearing on We're Married on MBC's Sunday Sunday Night with Andy as a newlywed couple, has garnered much attention with her confession about Andy.

In her personal interview, Solbi said, "Although we're only acting as a couple, Andy really feels like a real husband to me. Although I don't know if oppa has opened up his heart to me, but it doesn't feel like we're doing a show. It was so nice of him to go out in the rain to get coffee for me, wasn't that tough?" Her words seemed to reveal ther feelings towards Andy.

When asked "Do you keep in touch with Andy outside of the show?", she was a little taken aback but she replied "Honestly, I get jealous when I see Andy appearing on shows with other female celebs."

On the other hand, Andy seemed to be in a state of "I don't know". Andy said, "No matter who says that she likes me, whether she really means it or not, I need to experience it before I know it. Although Solbi seems to be really good with aegyo, and she's very nice to people, but I still can't offer much of my heart to Solbi."

After that Andy continued, "If Solbi's heart is true....hahaha", and ended the interview laughing.

Goo Hye Sun to be Eric's new leading lady

Goo Hye Sun is set to continue the sageuk wave after "The King And I".

Goo Hye Sun has accepted the female lead role of Seo Yoon in KBS2's '"Strongest Chil Woo", starring opposite Eric who plays Kang Chil Woo. She plays the daughter of a yangban, who had been abducted to China before being brought back to Joseon. She is a beautiful woman who is the love interest of Chil Woo.

Goo Hye Sun's management company said, "Although it's another sageuk drama after The King And I, this drama has a completely different feel from The King And I". They emphasised that she will portray a totally different character.

New Artiste Seo Woo Casted As Eric's Female Lead
After working with Big Bang, the quirky Seo Woo will soon be working with Shinhwa leader Eric.

After breaking into the scene with an ice-cream CF last year, Seo Woo has become very popular with the younger age group. She has just landed the role of Ryoung Doo in Strongest Chil Woo, the daughter of a fallen yangban.

After being abducted by baddies and left for dead, Chil Woo (played by Eric) rescued her, and she fell in love with Chil Woo. When they meet again, she begins to pursue him relentlessly.

Ryoung Doo decides to join the assassination clan led by Chil Woo as an informant, and believes that Chil Woo loves her. In this quirky comedic role, she pesters him to teach her martial arts, and even takes her clothes off to embarrass him.

Seo Woo says, "I hope to project an adorable image, and that everyone can find me as approachable as the little sister next door. Truly loving a man can be happy and painful, I hope to be able to portray that."



Im Haryong Plays Dad to Shinhwa again

Im Haryong and Shinhwa have been sharing an unusual affinity in their productions.

Im Haryong has recently accepted the role of Eric's foster father in KBS2's Strongest Chil Woo. This is particularly interesting since he has also played the father of Eric's fellow Shinhwa member Lee Minwoo in the movie Wontak's Angel.

As his character died early on in the movie, he wasn't able to share many scenes with Lee Minwoo, but in Strongest Chil Woo he will be playing a doting father who sees Eric as his own.

Strongest Chil Woo is Eric's last drama project before army enlistment, thus generating a lot of public interest in the drama. The sageuk drama is about a lowly officer who transforms into a deadly assassin by night, and is scheduled to air in June.

Eric will be enlisting for military duty around September-October.

Yoo Ah In's Comeback After 2 Years and 4 Months, To Star Opposite Eric

Yoo Ah In's character in the drama will be that of an assassin named Hak San, and he hopes to shed his youthful image and be recognised as a more mature actor.

As Eric's last drama before enlistment, the drama has garnered much attention even before it's aired. According to sources, the rights to the drama has already been sold to Japan's Asahi TV and will be aired in Japan in the autumn.

KimDongWan admited to hospital due to acute colitis

KimDongWan, admited to the hospital due to acute colitis and intestinal blockage (i think it's call like that?) , Album release delay.

Artist KimDongWan (29) admited to the hospital due to acute colitis and there were blockage, as his 2nd album release date is getting near to the date, accumulate there will be a delay due to his health.

On 11th when he was doing his 2nd album recording he was sent to the nearest hospital in Seoul Kangnam and receive an emergency treatment. The doctor noted that it is due to acute colities and intestinal blockage.

After SHINHWA 10th anniversary concert, he had not been slowing his schedule down and continue with his busy recording schedule thus had mislead his own health and ended up feeling a great pain on his tummy.

The management company related staff express "Although he had been complaining that he felt pain on his tummy a few days before but due to the 2nd album release date is getting near so he hold back all the pain and keep insisting on doing the recording. But now after receive the analytic results from the hospital, there will be needed 3 to 4 days for him to receive medical treatment."

The 2nd album which had set to be release on April 24th had became uncertain.

Dear friends,

I would like to start with our sincere appreciation for all your support and trust in us. A lot of things have happened behind the scene for the last three weeks and it was heck of a big challenge for all of us. I should say that it was the first time ever experiencing this level of situation during my professional career.

Many of you have already noticed, but it is regretful to inform you that we have lost two more artists, Eru and Tae Jin Ah. Eru decided to go to the military giving up his US citizenship and notified us that both he and his father would not be able to make it due to that reason. Even if we lost two popular singers(Lee Hyo Ri and Wonder Girls) by that time, we had no choice but releasing him with respect and honoring his voluntary and courageous decision. Regardless of the reason, please generously accept our apology for giving you a confusion and keeping you wait for long.

For the last two weeks, we worked very hard around the clock to make up the holes and finally come up with the list that would ultimately end our casting fro this year's concert. The final names are,

Eric: I look like MC Yoo Jae Suk



Shinhwa's Eric shares his complex about his own features.

On the April 11 broadcast of MBC's Section TV, Eric - who has always been viewed as a gorgeous hunk with well-sculpted feature - said that he has a complex about his features, "As I have a protruding mouth, I look like MC Yoo Jae Suk in photos where I put on glasses".

Eric even spilled some Shinhwa secrets. When asked, "Does any member use height-increasing soles?", he confessed, "All of us."

He added, "In the past we all used height-increasing soles, but Dongwan and Minwoo were unhappy since there was no point in doing so if everyone did that, so the other members stopped using the soles", much to the amusement of the studio crew.

Shinhwa held their 10th anniversary concert on 29th and 30th March, and when shown pictures from Shinhwa's early years, Eric - who was visibly moved and promised the fans that Shinhwa will stay together "for the next 20 to 30 years, even until death" - said that "It feels like I'm looking at my sons, I can't believe it's already been 10 years."

Other than the concert, Shinhwa has also released their 9th album after an absence of 1 year and 10 months. The album includes the main track 'Run', and also tracks written by members Lee Minwoo and Eric.

Eric's million-won wedding gifts to Jung Seon Hee, Kim Won Hee

The hefty wedding gifts from singer-cum actor Eric have become a hot topic.

When Jung Seon Hee guested on MBC's Come and Play recently, she disclosed that Eric had given her and her husband Ahn Jae Hwan a big gift of 1 million won for their wedding. She said, "Eric attended my wedding as a guest, but I got a big shock when I saw the amount of his wedding gift. We're not particularly close, but yet he gave us such a big gift. We're very grateful and when we were talking on the phone he said, 'Nuna, that's nothing compared to what I feel in my heart.' He was very sweet."

Host Kim Won Hee also affirmed that, saying "Eric gave me a million won for my wedding too", surprising everyone on the set. She added jokingly, "In future if you are going to hold your wedding, please make sure Eric is free to attend before you decide on the date", to the laughter of everyone present.

Release date of Kim Dongwan's 2nd jib postponed to May

Kim Dongwan is currently being hospitalized due to acute gasteroenteritis and intestinal infarction, mainly caused by stress.

Kim Dongwan was in a recording studio in Gangnam on 11 April preparing for his 2nd album when he collapsed due to abdominal pains. Staff from his management company said, "He was diagnosed with acute gasteroenteritis and intestinal infarction, and he is currently receiving treatment in hospital. Though he is due to be discharged on 15 April, we'll still have to carefully monitor his condition."

Kim Dongwan has been having overnight recording sessions for his upcoming 2nd album, and the stress has caused his health to deteriorate. Originally slated for release on 24 April, H2 Entertainment has decided to hold off the release until he has fully recovered.

The spokesperson also added, "He has been under a lot of stress because of his own album, as well as preparing for the 10th anniversary concert and 9th album for Shinhwa. We're planning to release his album in early May when he has fully recovered. He's sorry to make everyone worried, and he will definitely appear soon in front of everyone all healthy."

Entrepreneurial Lee Minwoo made 900 million won in 2007

Singer Lee Minwoo is always greedy for more, and he never stops anting more. He has recently made an investment in a music institute, and looks every bit the entrepreneur.

Everyone starts with a little somewhere, but it's not anyone who can go on and succeed. But Shinhwa's Lee Minwoo seems to be addicted to success, and he'd set very high expectations for himself in everything that he does. He makes sure that all his potential is fully realised and he never gives up when competing with others.

Minwoo started dancing when he was five, and by the time he reached his teens he had already become famous in his hometown of Jeonju for his dancing skills. He then moved to Seoul and made his debut into the entertainment world.

Minwoo's not the most eyecatching among the 6 members of Shinhwa. He's always practising his dance moves quietly, and holes up in his studio to make music. Recently he even proved to be an able concert planner. He was the first to set up his own company, M Rising, among the members, and last year the company made 900 million won in revenue.

Even now, Minwoo is still radiating his passion and charisma wherever he is. Sitting together at a table with Minwoo and his soju, the female reporters are charmed by his tough charisma, while the male reporters are amazed about how astute his financial judgement is. They gather today to find out not about what he has achieved, but his dream which is about to be realized.

We'll be sharing the story of the man who feels happiest when he's on stage.

Debut Adventures

▲ When did you start dancing?
I learnt to dance like Michael Jackson when I was five. From then until my debut, it really feels like a TV drama.


▲ Wow, what kind of a story would it be if it was a drama?
(Takes a big sip of soju) When I was in my second year of high school, me and two other hyungs wanted to the second Seo Taiji & The Boys, so we often practised together. When I was in senior high we went to Seoul, and that was the first time I saw Position and Turbo. We even saw people practising for the audition in the bathhouse. One of the hyungs' uncle was a composer, and he even saw someone practising with a chair in a tearoom. It's quite hilarious thinking about it now, but I went back to Jeonju deciding to return for the audition a year later.


▲So you went back home?
I did, and I formed a 4-man dance group called Dicky Ducky with 3 other friends. Back then in Jeonju, I was already like an artiste, I was like the Jang Woo Hyuk of H.O.T then (laughs). We were doing so well back then that the brands that sponsored HOT were ready to sponsor us too. We had our own appearance schedules too.


▲ Wow, how much were your appearance fees then?
About 200,000 won. When we liaised with the parties I'd tell them, "There's 4 of us, please give us an even number so that we can split the fees." Since senior high I was making my own living.


▲ When was the next time you went to Seoul?
I went to Seoul in my 2nd year of senior high. The uncle who was a composer warned me, "This path is very rocky, it's dirty but it's spectacular too." I made a lot of preparations for it, I suffered from food poisoning and malnutrition too. I spent 3 months like this, and one day when I opened my eyes I realized that the hyungs disappeared and just left a note behind. (Pauses for a moment) They even took my 200,000 won allowance with them.


▲ Omo, weren't you betrayed then? How did you become part of Shinhwa in the end?
In fact I wanted to give up my dream of becoming a singer. But there was a member of Dicky Ducky who was going to take part in the Everland dance competition, so I just gave it a shot. Rather than having a shot at becoming a singer, I was really more attracted by the cash prize of 3 million won. I went for it feeling very confident, but we forgot to bring the CD. I searched through many CD stores but we couldn't find the right CD. In the end we managed to find one last copy at a store in the amusement park. You know how it is in comics when there's a glow radiating from something precious? It was like that then, the CD we wanted just came into sight. We had to beg the organizers to let us take part, in the end we made it. There were 800 teams participating in that competition.


▲ It's the drama of all dramas. Of course you won the competition then.
After that, SM Entertainment's Kim Kyung Woo gave me his namecard. He bought us dinner, and even brought us around the SM office. It felt like a dream. When he told us to make a demo tape I even asked him "what's a demo tape?", but we recorded a tape in the noraebang anyway. Out of four of us there, SM was going to sign only two. On the day of the final selection all the SM trainees came to watch us. That was the first time I met the SES members-to-be Bada, Shoo and Eugene, and my fellow Shinhwa groupmates-to-be Andy, Shin Hyesung and Eric. Andy had his hair all slicked back, and looked even older than me (laughs). Hyesung was wearing his shades and just peered through the shades to acknowledge me. Honestly I was thinking "Omo, he looks arrogant" (laughs again). Eric was wearing a sky blue baseball cap that day, and he looked like a nice person. 1997 started like that for me.

Respect for H.O.T

▲ Shinhwa's 10 years started like that.
When the members get together we're just like brothers. We said before at the 10th anniversary concert that we're actually even closer than real brothers.


▲ Aren't there conflicts between the members?
In the beginning we argued a lot. But now after such a long time, we already know each other's strong points very well, and we trust each other a lot. I'm in charge of the music and stage direction, and Eric guides the general direction of the group. Dongwan brings up issues from the point of view of a fan. In fact I'm very thankful to Jin and Andy. As the younger brothers, though they have their own ideas they will still go along with us. That's how we have the Shinhwa of today.


▲ Since you started off in the same company, there have been a great deal of comparison to H.O.T
When I started writing songs Jae Won helped me a great deal. People may feel that there's rivalry between the two groups but we have never thought about that. The relationship between us and H.O.T is not competitive, they are in fact a group that we really respect.

It really felt very sad. (Eyes moisten a little) Honestly I didn't expect to be so moved. 10 years really have passed. (Pauses) At that time I felt from the bottom of my heart that I'm a really lucky and blessed guy.

The Detective Conan of the countryside

▲ How was it like at home when you were young?
My dad's business failed, so we weren't doing well. My mom kept things going by starting a beauty salon, and my dad also started rearing bees. My dad's really strong, he used to be a wrestler actually. Looking back I was like Detective Conan. A young Detective Conan of the countryside (laughs). Although we were poor but I still loved to look for adventures and I loved animals.


▲ Looks like you have a very strong survival instinct
I've been quite interested in financial management lately. I bought my dad a house, and that was the biggest expenditure I've ever made since I made my debut 10 years aso. It's near Cheonggyecheon, and the view is superb. My dad doesn't really express himself, so he just said "It's pretty good". But as a son that's more than enough for me.


▲ Seems like you're really close to your family. Have you thought about setting up your own family?
My dad was saying that settling down at 38 would be too late. Marriage and love requires the right timing. It will be perfect if it's someone who can understand my life.


▲ You're 30 this year, how do you feel about that?
I ended my 20s splendidly as a singer. As I step into my 30s I want to start on my other dreams, and my career will be my focus. Using my name, I want to create an environment with a lively performance culture.

Heartfelt tears at Shinhwa's 10th Anniversary Concert

Celebrating the 10th anniversary since their 10th anniversary, Shinhwa. The 6 cool guys shed tears at their 10th anniversary concert, all for the fans who have spent the last 10 years with them and gave them love and support. Let's go take a look at the tears-filled concert.

The six stylish men of Shinhwa meet with their fans in their 10th anniversary concert. They held a press conference before the concert, where Lee Minwoo who wrote the album's title track introduces the song.

Q: Could you introduce the title track of the new album?
A: The title of the song is 'Run'. It means that Shinhwa will continue to run forward, and it shows Shinhwa's passion and dreams. It's a song with a very strong beat, it was just unveiled. We created a song that is befitting of the Mexican gang image.

Q: Recounting the past 10 years for Shinhwa?
A: 10 years ago, the focus was on our stage performance and the coordination between the six of us. (Eric laughs) Why was it like that? It's true! No matter where, our commercial value as solo artistes and as Shinhwa is one of the highest. (Pauses) Isn't it?


After the concert begins, orange-coloured objects signalled the presence of Shinhwa fans. However the six guys will have to temporarily separate due to army enlistment. Although it's a temporary separation, but in front of the fans who have loved them for 10 years, they shed tears.

It's really amazing that we've spent 10 years together, we'll really wait for everyone to be back from the army and then hold a concert, so please just wait for us for a while.

Lee Minwoo
The past 10 years that Shinhwa has spent with everyone really just flashed past in front of my eyes, I really only want to see the colour orange, and I'll miss everyone's voices, really. Although it's a sad thing to be apart for a while, but we don't feel sad.


The 6 guys are reportedly going to be holding a concert in Japan.

Q: Upcoming plans...?
A: I'll be holding my first solo concert in Japan on 26 April. So after the concert ends today, I'll put in even more effort into my preparation so that I can give everyone a great concert performance.

Q: How would you like Shinhwa to be remembered...?
A: Powerful and radiating masculine charm, and at the same time making good music. I'm proud of our music. Although we'll be remembered for the way we are and our stage performances, but please also give us more love and support for our music, and we'll work harder in future to make good music for you.

Giving their all in their respective fields, the 6 men promise to stand in front of their fans once again as Shinhwa after they fulfill their military duties. They will continue to walk down the path together.

'Generous wedding guest' Eric: Martial arts training despite injury


Eric confirmed his role as Kang Chil Woo in KBS2's new sageuk drama 'Strongest Chil Woo', which will begin airing in June. Eric plays a lowly court officer who becomes a top assassin by night who executes evildoers. Goo Hye Sun and Seo Woo will star opposite Eric.

In order to prepare for the role, Eric has recently started on martial arts practice.

On April 15, a source close to Eric said that, "Eric was briefly hospitalized for his back injury after Shinhwa's 10th anniversary concert at the end of March. However he recovered very quickly, and he has started martial arts lessons some time ago for basic martial arts training to prepare for the drama. There are plans to systematically increase the intensity of the training."

On the April 14 episode of MBC's Come To Play, guest Jung Seon Hee revealed that Eric gave her a wedding gift of 1 million won, and told her that "the amount is nothing compared to my well wishes for you."

MC Kim Won Hee then added, "Eric gave me a wedding gift of 1 million won too. So if you're planning on getting married, make sure that Eric's able to attend before you decide on a date."

Lee Minwoo holds first solo concert in China

M Lee Minwoo will be holding his first solo concert in China titled 'M Live In Shanghai' on 2 and 3 May at the Shanghai International Sports Center.

Lee Minwoo is now preparing for his Shanghai concert, and all plans are underway as he prepares to spend a memorable time with more than 10,000 Chinese fans.

Not as a Shinhwa member but as the artiste M, this is Minwoo's first large-scale solo concert in China. More than 90% of the tickets have already been pre-sold well before tickets went on sale on 17 April, a sure indication of his overwhelming popularity in China.

After the Shanghai concert, Lee Minwoo is also scheduled to hold a concert in Seoul on 30/31 May.

Lee Minwoo hospitalized for 3 days after 10th anniversary concert

Shinhwa's Lee Min Woo was hospitalized for 3 days for exhaustion after Shinhwa's 10th anniversary concert.

Lee Minwoo had shown symptoms of exhaustion on April 4 and had to be hospitalized for 3 days for treatment. On the day on his discharge on April 6, he attended Park Myung Soo's wedding.

According to a representative from his management company Open World Entertainment, he suddenly showed symptoms of exhaustion after the concert on March 29 and 30.

"As Minwoo was already busy for his solo project, he didn't have much time to rest before he had to move on to Shinhwa's activities. It seems that all the fatigue and stress accumulated during that period of time finally gave way," the rep said.

The myth of the last 10 9 announced the album. The album includes nine joint pumin yiminwoo Eric's title song and 'Run' (RUN), a total of 10 surokdwae song.

Shinhwa, who has just celebrated their 10th anniversary, has recently released their 9th album. The album includes the title track 'Run', written by Minwoo and Eric, and 9 other tracks.

When speaking of "Lee Min Woo," the sexy boy of Shinhwa, we can always expect to see his latest "trend" for it tends to be different every single time. From stage performance and music styles to the most fashionable outfits, M can always heat up the atmosphere! Now that "Explore M" is also released in Thailand, all the Thai fans out there still respond with such great support as always. The thing is that, would he ever realize of how special he is, according to the Thai fans? let's ask him in person!

Q: Do you know that your latest album is out now in Thailand? And that you've been received such great support from the all-time (Shinhwa's & M's) fans?
M: Hah? Really?? Umm.. I'm so glad that my album is released in Thailand, too. Please take this album in your consideration, it would be nice if it achieves a huge response from the fans.


Q: Please describe this album a bit, for those who are still unfamiliar with your music.
M: When I was debuting with the group, I was characterized as a cute boy. Now that I have my solo works, I have to be more mature. As for this album, it is like I have discovered my true self and of course my music style is also become more mature as I received many compliments from seniors and friends. Such compliments are my inspiration and strength that urge me to keep making great music.


Q: Was there any obstacle during the making process?
M: When speaking of "creation," there's no such thing as "easiness." I try to have fun with my work as well as experience the most of it at the same time.


Q: Why "Explore M"?
M: It drives you crazy, makes you dance to it, and makes you scream it out loud! ... Hahaha it was the 2007 Christmas Concert's concept and also in 'Play My Song' lyrics. What I meant is that it would drive you crazy with the music style which makes you want to dance to it and scream/shout my name, M, out loud, too.


Q: What is your favorite track?
M: It's the song I just talked about, Play My Song, which I featured with "Drunken Tiger JK," and also The M Style, which I had Epik High's Tablo help me out. It was fun!


Q: Is there any romantic track for your girls out there?
M: The romantic pieces are in "The Sentimental Reason," the mini album released after this album. My favorite track is "Sarangiran Yebbeun Toogeulja." It gives you a Spring breeze when you listen to it. Not only the flowers, but Spring is also the time for love to blossom/bloom as well.


Q: That's right! You are in the middle of the mini album promotion period. So, what have you been up to now?
M: Yes, I've been busy with 2 concerts lately, one of my own and one for the 10th Anniversary of Shinhwa.


Q: They say that you always surprise the fans with your music style, and also the stage performance as well. Everyone will always look forward to seeing you on stage. How do you feel?
M: I like it, though. Enthusiasm from the fans can always make me happy regardless of where they are from, Thailand or else.


Q: How was the concert last year, then?
M: The climax was the mid part entitled as M Bar. It added a musical feeling to the show.


Q: How do you feel about being called "The Sexy Boy"?
M: Oh!! That good?! Well, it feels good when people call me that. At least, it's better than not showing any expression at all because that would give me an uncertain response, which I would be optimistic about it (and think that they do like my show) anyway hahaha.


Q: What is this Sexy Boy's daily routine, then? We're curious.
M: I'm no different from others. If not staying home and listening to music, then I would meet up with some friends in the evening or go to the fitness. Oh! I've been addicted to Play Station recently, the Winning game, to be specific.


Q: When will you visit Thailand? The fans miss you so badly right now.
M: I would really love to visit, but due to the hectic schedule, I cannot confirm anything. I really want to be close to the Thai fans and I will surely organize such great concert for you. Please wait for me, then.


Q: Given one day with Thai fans, whhow would you like to spend the day?

Battle of the action dramas heats up


'Powerful Opponents', which started its run on KBS on April 14, has kicked off the battle of the action dramas.

After 'Powerful Opponents', 'Iljimae' and 'Strongest Chil Woo' will follow - the highlight for all three dramas is likely to be their action scenes, and this implies a keen competition among the dramas to outshine each other.

'Strongest Chil Woo', the fusion sageuk drama starring Shinhwa's Eric will begin its broadcast from early June onwards. The action comedy set in the Joseon era is about a group of chivalrous assassins who solves various mysteries, and anticipation has been building for Eric's action sequences in the drama.

With the action theme running strongly in both of KBS' contemporary and sageuk dramas, SBS has also planned its own action sageuk drama 'Iljimae', slated for broadcast after 'On Air'. 'Iljimae' features Lee Junji and Lee Jong Hyuk in starring roles, and is set to ignite a battle of charisma up against Eric.

Gu Hyesun: My first impression of Eric

Gu Hyesun is currently preparing for her role starring opposite Shinhwa leader Eric in KBS2's Strongest Chil Woo.

When asked about her first meeting with Eric, Gu Hyesun commented, "He's really good-looking. He's very experienced, so there are many things that I can learn from him."

After working with Shinhwa members Lee Minwoo and Andy, Gu Hyesun will now be working with yet another member of Shinhwa. With regards to this she said, "I acted with Lee Minwoo in a sitcom, and was an MC together with Andy. But I don't know Eric well so I'm still a little shy around him, and we haven't been able to talk a lot to each other yet."

Having recently being recognised as the best candidate for a groom, Andy has officially denied dating Solbi.

On 11 April, Andy made an appearance on Star Recipe, a segment on KBS2's Yunyega, and talked about Solbi and Eric.

Andy has been sharing many sweet moments with his partner Solbi on MBC's We're Married, and he was asked by the PD, "are you really dating Solbi?" Andy denied this, replying "We only get close during filming. But I got to know more about Solbi through the show."

When asked if he has a girlfriend, he frankly replied, "Not for the past 6 years. The (Shinhwa) members all know about this. My ideal type used to be Kim Tae Hee, but now I'd like someone who can make good kimchi and understand me."

In addition, Andy was also asked about what Eric has been up to lately - since he has been keeping a low profile - and he said, "Nothing much. But if Eric hyung were to appear on We're Married, he'd probably quite similar to Alex (of Clazziquai)."

Shinhwa's appearance on Apr 27 ep of We're Married



Andy's 'wife' on We're Married, Solbi, managed to get on the phone with Andy's fellow Shinhwa member Eric.

On the Apr 20 episode of the We're Married segment on MBC's Sunday Sunday Night, Solbi intentionally provoked Andy by asking about Eric's ideal girl. She then told Andy that she wanted to speak to Eric on the phone, and Andy duly got called Eric up, who was busy at the studio with the Shinhwa album. Failing to mask her nerves and excitement, she proceeded with the call.

Later during the interview, Solbi confessed that she likes Andy, but she wanted to hide her feelings so in front of Andy, she told Eric that "I like Eric oppa."

Solbi's good luck continues, as the preview for the next episode showed her delivering food to Andy at the Shinhwa concert, and meeting the other Shinhwa members.

Andy: "Eric and I, we like to stand at the sides"

Charismatic guy Andy revealed his secret about standing at the sides during Shinhwa's activities. He said, "When we have activities, Eric and I like to stand at the sides."

Andy, who has recently been called 'cheeky' after his appearances on various variety shows, expressed "I haven't had a girlfriend in 6 years. Though everyone says I'm cheeky, but when I'm at home I actually don't talk much. So during Shinhwa activities, if I were to stand in the centre I'd end up being interviewed, that's why Eric and I prefer to stand at the sides."

In addition, Andy also revealed that he cried because of his grandmother's encouragement, "My grandmother told me that I have to work hard at this since I chose this path, so that I can become a grandson that she's proud of. When I heard that I just started crying."

Andy: It's a sonbae-hoobae relationship between me and Solbi

On KBS2's Star Recipe segment, Andy came clean about his relationship with his 'We're Married' partner Solbi.

When asked, "Are you really dating Solbi?" Andy answered "No, we're just sonbae and hoobae." But he added that he was able to see another side of Solbi through the show.

"Though Solbi seems to say whatever that comes to her mind, she isn't like that. She'd think through it a lot first," Andy said with a smile.

Although Andy is now very loved for his image as a sensitive guy, he also had his share of difficult times during his 10 years in the industry.

"When people talk about Shinhwa, they'd say Minwoo is full of charisma and very handsome; Eric acts really well...There are words of praise for everyone, but when it comes to me, people only say I'm cute."

He also said that the biggest blow comes when comments like "Shinhwa's Andy, what has he been doing for the past 10 years? What is he going to be in the future?" on the Internet.

However he added that he is slowly changing - he's been trying to pick up conversational skills, and trying to be more active on variety shows.

Andy released his first solo album at the beginning of the year, and is currently very active as a singer with his title track 'Love Song'.

Andy's wet seduction at Shanghai Concert



Andy, a member of Korean group Shinhwa, held his first solo concert in Shanghai on Apr 19. More than 3,000 fans turned up to show their support. The merchandise area outside the venue was completely emptied by fans, a clear sign of Andy's popularity in China.

During the concert, Andy said that he was sorry that he's unable to understand Mandarin, and that he's very glad to have the support of all the fans. Later during the concert, he even invited five fans on stage to sing a Chinese song together.

When he returned to the stage, Andy gave an even more explosive performance as he danced and even got drenched with water by his female dancers; they even tried to tug his shirt off! Although he was able to fend them off, he accidentally revealed his waist and stomach, leading the fans into a screaming frenzy!
