I hope Bilbo remembered to always have a towel when Hitchhiking through Middle Earth.

Seen it, loved it.
Although at the ending I was like "where's the rest of the movie?!"
Only to find out they're making sequels. Sigh.

After the movie was over I thought it was over too quickly....then I noticed that 3 hours went by. Oh well, time to wait until next year.

I saw it a couple days ago and I'm very conflicted about what to think overall. Some parts were absolutely excellent while I loathed others.
And though the parts I dislike seemed to drag on too long, at the end I found myself thinking "It's over already?!"

This isn't a complaint in any way but did anyone else "hear" Stoick from How to Train Your Dragon in Thorin's voice? (they're played by different actors)

The credits don't really sneak up on you, but this one really hooks you in for the sequel. An area that in my opinion the fellowship fell rather flat. Did anyone else buy the soundtrack?

The soundtrack was atrocious. I don't know what happened to Shore since The Lord of the Rings.

Cinematography was wonderful, once you got used to it. Other than that, the studios are milking it in hyperbolic terms. The films will equate to reading The Hobbit in real time.

Too long for the content, to uneven in its pacing and tone, and too artificial. It was like watching a soundstage.

Entertaining? Yes. Will I see the next ones? Yes. Did I think this film was great? Nope. Nowhere close.

They announced three movies, or rather, that's what I read. <3

I just watched the blu ray. It's kinda weird. Their are some really amazing parts, and then some really boring parts. It seems to me that Peter Jackson was focused more on the visuals of the film, instead of telling a good story. Telling a good story, I think, was the strongest part of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

I thought it was awesome. Really brought me back when i first watched the LOTR trilogy, might not be as epic as the trilogy, but I'm really happy they're making the movies.

I thought it was good, ya it wasnt pulse pounding action every moment of the film but you gotta realize this is just the first part... story isnt even near its climax.
