I can't stand those annoying whiny voices. I also prefer dubbed anime. it's gets old having to constantly read lines. what are the best dubbed animes that you have watched in terms of acting, and performance. these are some of my own:

Trigun, Outlaw Star, Great Teacher Onizuka, Berserk, Cowboy Bebop,Elfen Lied,Death Note,Fullmetal Alchemist,Slayers, and Eureka Seven.

this is off topic but,I was wondering if I can upload unlicensed dubbed animes?

Best one I've seen was Baccano.! The voices are far better than the japanese ones and the Accents are perfect.

FMA (heard the S. american one is really good too (or was it the brazilian one?)).
I've heard Gankutsuou (sp?) is better in english but I've never seen it so i can't really judge.

I prefer watching subbed rather than dubbed, but there are a few anime I watched in dubbed due to the Japanese voices sucking or simply not being able to find decent quality subbed videos. These include:

Cowboy Bebop
Gundam Wing
.hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet

I may have watched Death Note in dub, but I'm not entirely sure since I only watched it once and I didn't really like it too much...

No, since the beginning of 2009, Crunchyroll obtains anime only under license. Any mentions you may see regarding uploads are leftovers from the days when they were a fansub site.

From my years of viewing anime. It's hard to say what I believe is the best English dubbed anime. Series-wise, I might have to say the first season of You're Under Arrest. It was handled extremely well, as American viewers are more experienced with voicing caped crusaders, we had a plus when they handled Strike Man. Probably a second might be Moon Phase. The latter's mainly as a result of Monica Rial's performance as Hazuki.

Now for a movie/ova, it's a little harder for me to choose. I might have to go for The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. I was quite surprised by the majority of performances in that movie considering a majority didn't voice many roles. It's either that or Galaxy Express 999. Yet it's hard for me to decide on that mainly on part of nostalgia. GE999 was what really got me into anime, the movie was the best that I've seen so there's a good memory right there.

The third possibility is a wider choice. Many series have song inserts, and for the companies to dub those songs into English while keeping a similar tone, pace, and feeling is a daunting task. A third choice would be a good deal of series that tend to do that and do that well.

I'd say Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad is far better in English. Not that any of the Japanese voices are particularly bad, but it is just painful to listen to them singing those songs in English. Besides which, the American voice actors are better singers than they are! Not only that, but since some of the characters are supposed to have lived in the US (or are actually American), they speak English a lot, and it's just so annoying to listen to them!

I second Haruhi Suzumiya, except for the songs, of which the Japanese originals are so much better.

I'd say the Hellsing OVA. Had the right voice actors and had the right accents.

i really dont have a problem with either, if i do watch a dub its usually done by funimation (FMA and DBZ) and i usually try to stay away from viz dubs (naruto and bleach) but dubs by bandai (Code Geass and Gurren Lagann) or ocean studios (Inuyasha and Death note) are generally good, but as for best dub um,...id have to say Ouran High School Host Club followed by FMA Brotherhood and then School Rumble and best movie would probably be Naussica And The Valley Of The Wind
