Sweet

All I can say is...heat.

I'm not really interested in J-Drama, but it is nice to finally have a J-Drama simulcasted on Crunchy. Maybe in the future I might change my mind on being interested in watching J-Drama, but for now, I'm passing. This is good news for J-Drama fans though.

If you'd get a bunch of the Japanese dramas, I'd probably upgrade from anime to premium. The goofy B horror movies would be better as anime, but sometimes the dramas can be fun. Like Gokusen or IWGP.

Whats with the dippy skip between episodes? Wouldn't it make more sense to put up episodes 1-4?

Congrats CR!
What've really surprised me though is that you've finally managed to also get the rights to stream it for so many other countries. Good job on that one! Now let's hope its an enjoyable watch aswell. |

mitamaking wrote: Okay this is bothering me, this is not "The world's first ever J-drama simulcast", Funi with noitaminA did the live action Moyashiman series. Doesn't say "world's first" anywhere, it says Crunchy Roll's First. |

This happens everytime they simulcast a series that has already started ~ they start the simulcast, and at the same time they start catching up on the back episodes. As the back episodes get subtitled, they will be added. Anyway, this is encouraging in two ways. First, J-drama's used to be a nightmare to license, because they never wrote the contracts with the actors to cover international distribution, but I read somewhere that in the last three years or so that's changed. So hopefully it will be easier for Crunchyroll to add to their J-drama lineup over time. Second, the K-dramas have been all North America Only, so the fact that Crunchyroll was able to get rights outside of North America is also good news. |
