Anime really is a worldwide success, and hopefully studios see that there is serious money to be made or lost depending on their choices of where to air a title.

Its been a bit of one step forward, one step back this year ~ Summer was a step back for UK&Eire, but Fall was a substantial recovery. Meanwhile things have been fairly good for Scandinavian members since sometime in 2010, but then this Winter they fell under 50%, after some seasons when they had every single series that had any international streaming at all.

And the kinds of licenses that knocked the Scandinavia&Finland rights back were the "English Speaking Countries" ones ~ US&Canada, UK&Eire, OZ&NZ, and sometimes South Africa.

So this is especially good news for members from Scandinavia&Finland ...

... if they start to be included in the "English speaking countries" type licenses while continuing to be included in the "South America, Africa and the Middle East" type licenses, they'll go back to getting pretty much everything Crunchyroll streams outside of North America ...
... and if the fact that this is a Sentai pick as well means that Crunchyroll has solved the problem of making an offer that does not conflict with a Sentai license means fewer North-American-only releases, that's a bigger slice of a bigger pie.

Yes I am pleasantly shocked :)

Funimation should take notes.

FUNimation could well be the reason this happened ~ FUNimation setting up Funico with niconico.com might have been what made Sentai and Crunchyroll interested in working out a deal.

There are a couple of different was the deal might be structured, but the important thing is that a deal seems to have been made. If its a general deal, we'll see the same thing happen with other series this season. If its a one-off experiment, lets hope it succeeds and they do more of it in the seasons ahead.

After watching the promotional video the show has caught my interest. It does look like something that might be fun to watch, at the very least.

I probably will watch this anime.
Its interesting but for me it lacks appeal. Like, I get the feeling that the action will take over the meaning of the story/fighting/pirating and the episodes will be very predictable. That is my first opinion of it based on the summary and artwork, but it might surprise me somehow. I do like the animation though.
