CR Points

There's probably some help page somewhere that explains them...but I haven't been able to find it. So...what are CR Points all about? How do you redeem them? etc....

I hope this helps you out! ^_~
Here's a breakdown: What's a cr point? You get crunchy points for being social on Crunchyroll! It's a measure of how involved you are in the community. Here's what you earn: 2 points for each forum post, guestbook post, or video comment 1 point for voting in a poll 3 points for having a verified email 5 points for having an avatar 5 points for completing your profile (bday, loc, headline...) 2 points for each photo in your gallery 20 points for uploading a video (and it gets approved) 10 points for submitting a crunchyland design (and it gets approved) 200 points for creating an original subtitle on Crunchyroll (and it gets approved) 75 points for translating or working off an existing subtitle on Crunchyroll (and it gets approved) 20 points for uploading a subtitle file (and it gets approved) 1000 points for each month of Premium Membership purchased Here's what you can do: if you have 20 points, you can search for cr users if you have 500 points, you can start a new forum topic |

So there isn't anything we can really do with them?
That makes them seem kind of pointless then. "if you have 20 points, you can search for cr users if you have 500 points, you can start a new forum topic " Does it cost this number of points to do this or do just have to have this many to do these actions? |

I may have to grow older but I will never grow up

(or my memory exaggerates) |

Did CR points exist in 2006 when it was created? I saw some people here with like 800k CR points and I was all
I feel like I've seen people who created their accounts under a month ago and they already have 10k points, so maybe there are other secrets? |

I think CR had points from the start, but the reason that new accounts have so many points is most likely that they spammed. Which is against the rules, so when we do discover that someone has been spamming in some group they get lose all the spamming posts and will get temporarily banned to dissuade them from doing so again. |

Well, in some of the groups, they actually have a SPAM thread, where u are free to spam all u want. Sometimes I see members go on ridiculous spam rages and post pages and pages and pages of nonsensical stuff. AHTL (or another mod), I'm assuming it's ok to do that in SPAM threads though, right? I won't name any names, but I've seen one of the current mods do that in a SPAM thread, lol. |

So that's why Shugo Chara has an ungodly number of posts. |

But if they occur in the public forum, what I mentioned in my previous post will occur. As for a moderator doing it, if it is within a group the moderator is simply in tune with the user base. If it happened outside a group, contact a site mod or support rep. |
