I only read series I enjoy online if there's not a native print version to buy. If there is one, then I buy as many volumes as I can afford at once.

Reading them on the internet is perfectly fine. Most manga sites are completely virus free.

I am sure the way I feel about it has been stated already but lets throw in my two bits. I read online yes, I try to limit it to those that are not licensed and translated yet. If they existed in a physically accessible format for me I will purchase them funds permitting. Which brings about my other point sometimes I will read chapters before I get around to purchasing them. Once I finish learning kanji it will just be money and location for me as it hard to get untranslated manga up here without ordering it and having to pay horrendous shipping.

Yeah, I earn very little money, but I still enjoy going out and buying physical volumes for the sake of collecting.

I typically read manga online for free, but if there was a store around me that actually sold some, I would definitely buy a lot more of it. One of the reasons I don't read that much manga is the fact that I really don't care to read on my computer, I much prefer the feel of paper or some sort of book. However, it's not readily available to me and I don't really want to buy something online that I'm not sure if I'd like or not.

I always order them off Amazon. I did download the Manga Reader app from my phone but I never use it - much prefer owning and reading the actual books.

I once found one (Haruhi vol.1) in a charity shop. A charity shop! That fateful event was my first step into anime/manga...

Always read on the internet. Handy phone app: Manga Storm links with all of the major free manga sites. I used to live in New Zealand (now in Australia) so it was IMPOSSIBLE to get my hands on copies of real manga XD

i am the bootleg queen. i read free online. now that manga is becoming more available in the us, i'm starting to buy them. the main reason i read online, is because i get mad when a series i'm reading stops being sold in the usa. your halfway through a series and kaput it's no longer printed. i had that happen more than once. plus manga is really expensive here. i only purchase digital manga if i can download and keep it forever. i'm not with the keeping it for 2 weeks or 1 year crap. plus i have really eclectic tastes. i read shoujo, shounen, josei and yaio.usually only the most popular manga are imported to the usa.
