Characters & Voice Actors

Madoka Kyouno
Voiced by: Kaori Ishihara
The sole member of a Jersey Club who often helps out other clubs and people in need. She has a habit of saying "maru" (meaning 'circle', the kind used to mark tests) when she finishes helping someone. She soon discovers she has the ability to pilot a strange robotic aircraft. (take from Wiki)

Lan/Fin Ay Ludo Sui Lavinty
Voiced by: Asami Seto
An alien who was sent to protect Madoka and the aircraft. She is not used to earth culture and often picks up terms from the strangest sources.

Muginami
Voiced by: Ai Kayano
Another Ovid pilot who transfers in Madoka's class and joins the Jersey Club. Although she appears to have a slow-witted personality, she is actually sharp and perceptive and appears to have a hidden agenda, particularly concerning the memoria on Madoka and Lan's bodies.

Yoko Nakaizumi
Voiced by: Mamiko Noto
Madoka's cousin who is a researcher on underwater archaeology and tried to prevent Madoka from coming into contact with the Vox. She gives in to Madoka's decision to pilot Vox Aura but only on the condition that Madoka is to continue with her daily life as usual.

Other Information

Directed by: Toshimasa Suzuki
Studio: Xebec
Licensed by: Viz Media
Primary network: Tokyo MX
Genre: Science Fiction, Mecha

Opening theme: "Try Unite!"
Ending theme: "Hello!"
Both opening and ending performed by Megumi Nakajima

After watching 2 episodes, I feel like this anime is a typical mecha series without romance. There are 3 main characters who are all involved with robots fighting against an unknown enemy. The main robot's name is Vox Aura that seems to play a pivotal part according to the plot. Other than that, this series is just another mecha series. I do like the music thou and there are some fanservice in between some scenes. I'll continue watching :>

As confirmed by ANN and Crunchyroll News this will be simulcast by Viz as Lagrange -The Flower of Rin-ne, although the time and date for the premiere of the simulcast have yet to be announced. As with past Viz simulcasts, one can expect it to be available to U.S. residents only, via Viz's own website and Hulu.

The series premieres in Japan Sunday, January 8, 2012 @ 10:00 PM (8:00 AM EST in the U.S.) on Tokyo MX.

As seems to be a recent growing trend, this will be a split series, with 12 episodes in the Winter, followed by another 12 in Summer 2012.

I'm actually a bit confused on the exact premiere date. I've heard episode 1 already aired on Nico awhile ago. The actual or first legit episode of this series will be on Jan. 8?

Take a look at the upper right side of the main page on the official website.

I expect the Nico Nico Douga stream is the one discussed in this article, although Nico Nico Douga's own Winter 2012 lineup shows it as not streaming until January 11, 2012. Fansubdb.com lists "Preview Airing: Nico Nico Douga 12/25 @ 20:00" in the information for the series. A quick check of a couple of fansub sites also show episode 1 already listed.

It appears that from the standpoint of those involved with the show, that stream did not count as official premiere, and instead it is being treated like the special screening some anime have prior to their premiere.

It does appear I had the premiere network wrong, so I'll change that.

Strange that this aired so early as I didn't even know the exact premiere date. Anyways, I'll post my thoughts on the first episode in a few.

It`s called a pre-air.
The quality of that pre-air was shit, 280p :P
Hope the actual airing of it will be good quality.

And it looks like an Eureka 7 copy, I thought this one was the Eureka 7 spin-off that is coming.

Ya, it does look similar to Eureka 7.

I think Eureka 7's sequel is coming out sometimes in April of Spring titled Eureka 7: Astral Ocean (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-12-22/eureka-seven-ao-gets-tv-anime-in-april-2012). One of the characters looks like Renton and Eureka's son in the promotional poster

Well that was kinda silly. Had to watch it on Hulu because I couldnt get the Viz site to play it. Stupid commercials.

Strange, since Viz simply uses a Hulu imbed (I just checked to verify that is still true). In any case, it would have been the same experience (including the ads) at Viz's own site.

I realize that, I saw the hulu frame on Viz and my first thought was "oh great, ads."

Ew ew ew. More Mecha shows, just what I don't want.

Worst part is, I have to watch some of it before I can judge it. Curses! Stop making crappy harems, mechas and shounens and get us some more medieval/horror/psychological shows!

I think it has been that way since the beginning. I remember when I watched Inuyasha - The Final Act there, they were using a Hulu imbed.

So basically, stop making shows other people might like, and make only shows you might like, right?

I never watched anything on Viz before, not that I was surprised or anything... just not a fan of Hulu and its love-affair with commercials (but they got to pay the bills somehow). :p

I liked the show over all, it was just silly and kinda random; it also had a bit of a Eureka 7 feel to it.
