JTBC "Syndrome" a new medical drama with Han Hye-jin, Song Chang-ee and Park Geon-hyeong
There is another medical drama that will follow the steps of KBS 2TV drama "Brain", and it is also based in a neurosurgery department. JTBC drama "Syndrome" should be airing soon enough, after the drama "Padam Padam... The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats" ends. "Syndrome" is a medical drama based in a neurosurgery department. The main cast will include Han Hye-jin and Park Geon-hyeong and has finished shooting its first scene.
Han Hye-jin will take on the role of resident neurosurgeon Lee Hae-jo. She is from a rural college and is a smart doctor who has a passion to become the best. Han Hye-jin had to cut her hair for this role. Song Chang-ee is Cha Yeo-wook, who is the same as her but from a high quality college. He is the grandson of the Hangook General Hospital chairman and nothing is holding him back from becoming the best doctor. Park Geon-hyeong is the chief of neurosurgery Kang Eun-hyeon. They will form a love triangle in the series.
"Syndrome" won't be able to help but be compared to "Brain", which is highly popular and has given Sin Ha-gyoon the Grand Prize for acting. I Will Media showed confidence saying, "We will display surgical images and the passion as well as the humanity of the doctors. It might not help us to avoid being compared with 'Brain" but we won't fall back in interest".
"Syndrome" will be broadcasted on the 13th of February after "Padam Padam... The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats".

What's with all the neurosurgery medical dramas? Are they hoping for a third's the charm kind of thing? Anyway, I'll wait for the stills before I make an initial judgement.
Uh...the screenwriter worries me a bit. I didn't watch Heading towards the Ground myself, but I do remember reading about how awful it was on a bunch of blogs.
Unless I read somewhere that the screenwriter has improved, I don't think I'll be watching this.
Starting fresh & making a new account. Come and try to find me. :p
Fresh “Syndrome” Stills Featuring Han Hye Jin
In the stills below, Dr. Hae Jo (Han Hye Jin) musters nerves of steel, and with outstretched arms, stands in the middle of the road to stop a bus.
In Syndrome, Dr. Hae Jo is described as possessing an extraordinary mind and a warm heart. While she devotes her energy into saving her patients’ lives, her personal life is not without drama, as she becomes involved in a love triangle with two colleagues, played by Song Chang Eui and Park Gun Hyung.
Syndrome will begin airing February 13th.
