Have you ever talked back @ your teacher?

Many times, due to their years of abuse from students talking back to them perverting their personalities.

Yes, several times, never got in trouble for it.
Once is 4th grade one of my teachers tired to get me into a class I didn’t want to be in.
He: “I’ll call your mother!”
Me: “You do that!”
Later that evening
Mom: “I got a call from your teacher today”
Me: “Ok what did he want?”
Mom: “I don’t know, I stopped listening after I found out it was your teacher. Haven’t I told you not listen to idiots?”

Quite truthfully, I'm appalled at some of the stories on here. Unless they've done physical, sexual, mental or emotional harm, teachers deserve your respect.
At all of the schools I've been to, the teachers were very good. They respected your opinion but if you over-stepped the mark then you would get a warning and perhaps a detention/sent to someone higher up.

I've never talked back to a teacher for a various number of reasons:
1) I knew I was in the wrong and no excuse would get me out of it.
2) When I was older, I never gave them a serious reason to reprimand me.
3) They're in position of authority and frankly, I respect the fact that they have to deal with brats on an everyday basis. Why make it worse for them? The teachers are doing their job. It would be like shouting at a traffic cop for pulling you over for speeding.

We had plenty of teachers who you could have a laugh and joke around with but for the most part, everyone knew the boundaries.

YOUR MOM IS AWESOME.

No. It's disrespectful. MAYBE though I won't be able to stop myself from talking back if the teacher is acting really unprofessional. I'd try my best not to get myself in trouble though and stay invisible from them as much as possible. If they annoy me, I can always do mean stuff to them in my mind.

Yes, while I was in 7th grade social studies I was reading "The Hobbit", one of my most beloved books. My teacher thought I should be doing my lessons and tried to take it away, to which my reply was, "Fuck off bitch, I paid for that!" while I snatched it out her hand and shoved her away. She had our 6"3' 300+lb disciplinarian come in and fucking steal that book away, "subdue" me and take me to the office, I got suspended for a week and the book was gone till the end of the year, she also refused to let me back in her class, which was fine with me cause I hated that bitch.

Was mommy and daddy rich enough to send their baby to a private school?

Shit, I live in New Orleans, there are a few smart teacher around in the public system, but for the most part, they were stupid, lazy, and ineffective, I dropped out cause I was 18 and in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade classes all at the same time, 6 weeks later I had my GED. My son succeeds now (honor roll baby!) cause I work with him and push him hard. His 5th grade teacher got mad cause I go over his papers and correct what she misses, which is a-lot, I even sent some of those papers to the school board. Btw, she is one of the 500 getting the axe this year. Teacher unions are horrible entities that make shit teachers feel entitiled, and makes them almost impossible to get rid of.

Then perhaps that's the difference between the US education system and the United Kingdom education system?

I've only talked back to teachers if I really despised them.

yes, in high school I would always correct teachers, and in certain cases make fun of them.
My english teacher had me put up a poster that said "Even Einstien asked Questions!" and she read the poster and said "I didn't know Eintien's First Name was Evan."

now tell me how do you not make fun of that?
