Hey guys,

As you know, earlier we announced Moretsu Pirates, the live-action film Mooncake, Natsume Yujin-cho Shi, The Prince of Tennis II, Nisemonogatari, and Recorder and Randsell

For our last announcement for today, we are proud to present: Deka Kurokawa Suzuki on our winter lineup. But fear not, we have a ton more announcements to make throughout the week!

Deka Kurokawa Suzuki is set to air starting on Thursday January 5, 2012 at 7 pm PST for the following territories: U.S.A., Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Brazil, and Portugal.

For the break down of this new title:
"Kurokawa Suzuki is hailed as a detective with top-notch reasoning skills with a sensitive heart to those around him. With an array of different personalities that making working together difficult, Suzuki and two of his coworkers must solve a series of brutal cases that start emerging in their town…"

Nisemonogatari

This highly anticipated series is set to air every Saturday starting on January 7 at 9:30 am PST for the following territories: U.S.A, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

"In Bakemonogatari, the story centers on Koyomi Araragi, a third year high school student who has recently survived a vampire attack, and finds himself mixed up with all kinds of apparitions: gods, ghosts, myths, and spirits. However, in Nisemonogatari, we pick up right where we left off and follow Koyomi as the psychological twists delve deeper and deeper…"

Recorder and Randsell:

This light-hearted comedy will be available every Thursday starting on January 5, at 9:30 am PST and to worldwide audiences except for Japan.

Here's what this new title is all about:
"On the surface it seems as if Atsushi is an adult, but really he's just an elementary student! However, he is paired with a second-year high school student Atsumi, whose height is just the opposite of his. These two together create an unusual relationship and will undoubtedly instigate some comedic antics in this slice of life comedy!"

This show looks like it could be fun... I'm certainly looking forward to this one in a couple days! Thanks! Two more to go for today.

Bah just checked the schedule page from Japan and found this show is only 5 minutes long... oh well.

I suspected as much, but didn't have confirmation. Thanks.

If well done, however, it could be still be very worthwhile. I got more entertainment from the 3 minutes of Morita-san each week than some full length anime.

Yeah I agree, I really enjoyed Morita. It was a nice touch to the week where I knew I wasn't going to be stuck for 22 minutes and have it possibly end up terrible and a big waste of time. I think there are a fair amount of series that probably should have just been <10 mins an ep and they would have been really good.

I'm also imagining that one of the other 2 announcements today would be Milky Holmes as that starts airing tomorrow, unless they announce late or the same day as air. Other than that I haven't really speculated as to what CR is going to or not going to get this season.

Milky Holmes airs at 11:00 PM in Japan in Thursday, January 5 (9 AM EST the same day in the U.S.), so they could still announce tomorrow and have a day's notice. It could be one of today's announcements, but my personal preference is to hold the quite predictable announcements until later.

Yep, seriously don't see myself even watching one episode of Recorder and Randsell. Has to be, without a doubt, one of the stupidest things I've seen. The information on it sure makes it look and sound terrible, anyway.

Hope the other two turn out to be something good. Good luck to anyone that plans to watch, hope you enjoy it.

Nisemonogatari's announcement of being added to CR is interesting. One of the higher anticipated animes according to a recent poll. Now, I'm seriously guessing that Area no Kishi will be the final anime to be announced today that will be added.

Might be confused but Nisemonogatari is a sequel to something, right? Guess that makes two shows I'm not going to be watching. Can't very well watch a sequel without seeing the original, after all. Fingers crossed for the third title.

I'm guessing this is probably going to be a sequel as most of the main characters return to their roles from the original Bakemonogatari. http://myanimelist.net/anime/11597/Nisemonogatari

The story is set in the early 21st century as a sequel to another NisiOisin story, Bakemonogatari, and it centers around the "Fire Sisters" Tsukihi and Karen Araragi.

So in other words, pretty sure it's a direct sequel.

Oh Nisemonogatari seems interesting too, I'll have to see that, and my guess the last one is Milky Holmes 2. If not, I'll be surprised

I had stated in another topic that I had hoped there would be at least one "Wow, I didn't expect them to get that" surprise in the announcements this season, and as I said then, Nisemonogatari certainly fits the bill. I don't recall a single SHAFT series that has been simulcast since Natsu no Arashi! back in 2009, so kudos to CR on snagging this one!
