Mom asks 911 permission to kill intruder

Ack. It'll probably eat at her for a while...Not exactly something you forget, murdering a person in cold blood. I don't really like the fact that she fired first and asked questions later, but she was protecting child(ren), so it's understandable.

Still, though, I remember a story about two years back in my area, a teen came back from a party and entered his house...Well, it wasn't his house. He crashed on the couch, crazy drunk, but the owners just laughed it off. Imagine if he was the one standing there, in-front of Shotgun Lady?

Edit: To all of you stating that you'd just injure them that's kind of hard when it's a flight-of-the-moment deal. How many of you know how to use a shotgun? I don't, but I have fired one before. It's mostly just aim and click, and the largest target tends to be the chest, which...Tends to be pretty deadly. But, what gauge WAS the shotgun? That's what I'm wondering.

Been there seen that. Or heard I should say. Retard got drunk and tried to get into wrong home thinking it was his. Started bashing on windows, ect.

Lady got consent to use her shotgun for defense and blasted the guys brains out the moment he walked in.

Well there was also the case where a white man shot a black guy walking towards him in a train because he had 'reasonable belief' that he was in danger....because he was black. The law also doesn't give you a free reign to kill anyone just because they are black. So this just basically shows that in this world, some judges are idiots.

Well, Defending yourself is justifiable.
but the killing part...ummm...

next time aim for the knee caps.

It won't kill, but it will immobilize them/ hurt like hell.

Awesome

This should be allowed, I wouldn't hesitate in killing an armed robber in my house. We don't have any guns in the house but a few weapons which could be useful.

We live in an "armed" society, and it bears repeating, "An armed society is a polite society."

When I was a kid we just assumed that if we stole stuff and/or broke into people's houses we'd either get shot or our asses kicked.

i would have done the same. im prepaired to shoot anyone that breaks into my home

I don't think it matters whether or not she killed an intruder. The guy had it coming. It's not her fault she's trying to protect her baby.

So.....why does she feel the need to ask 911 permission? There's a saying about better to ask forgiveness than permission, but regardless you can supposedly legally kill someone if they assault you in your home. Besides that what kind of idiot stands there like an idiot worrying about lawsuits when someone is attacking them? Well probably a lot but that's why they are idiots, and she was apparently armed anyways so yea.

The next step for law enforcement......ensure every household has a firearm, watch crime rates plummet when the threat of a bullet in the face is very much real.

Hmph, interesting.

I'd rather injure them instead of killing them, so they can go to jail. but this is how I feel.

So they could come back for revenge later? With weapons? Finishing the story immediately is the best option I would think. It makes sure you don't have to worry about them coming back. Plus everyone else would leave you alone since you killed a man for daring to enter your home.
