I write from time to time, usually it's pretty chaotic with a running theme: Masked men/women beating the crap out of each other while the surroundings get destroyed with every attack they throw. i.e Throw a punch and create a shock wave to break the surrounding building's windows within a 5 mile radius. You know that kind of stuff.

I do... but I've been in a huge rut for a while now in terms of my writing. I write small snippets of ideas (primarily for world building) but I haven't written anything substantial in a very long time.

I do... As a matter of fact I wrote a short little fun story called "The Tale of Never Give Up", and posted it on Youtube as a video of me telling the story. Seeing how I'm not the best artist I have no real illustrations to go with it, so I used pictures I found online. But I believe the story speaks for itself...

I'm trying to transition into writing short stories/novels. I'm so used to writing poetry that it's become difficult for me to write something that requires any planning (to me, many of the best stories are well planned). I finished writing about one chapter for a novel I started, but that's about it.

I write short stories on forums during the Great Boredom of Summer. They are always fantasy to some degree, and I aim for unpredictable plots with sad twists. I reposted a work-in-progress from two years ago on CR; Life Goes On the world is not a perfect place. I intend to continue it when writer's fever strikes me again, hence the repost.

I am an avid writer or more to the point a re-writer (It's a horrible joke :P) I started off my going to Text based RPG sites, then progressed into forums. It is an amazing place to throw around ideas. You can conjure any number of character and settings in a matter of hours. Fantasy and sci-fi are great escapes but I'm starting to right more ground fantasies. For example, last night I spent several hours researching through the 80 BC- 65 BC time period. Early Pompeii and such. It's amazing trying to make the facts fall in line with your fantasy, challenging to say the least.

After watching anime I often find myself wishing I could write a story not just like what I've watched but able to share some of the characteristics of the many anime's I've seen. I don't know about others but when I watch anime it fills me with happiness as corny as it may sound. The general story I have an idea but I haven't started the writing. I guess it's a little more difficult to transition from one to another.

I like to write poetry and short stories. I have the ideas for novels but lack the skills to properly develop and articulate what's in my head...at least that's how it is now. I plan on majoring in English and becoming a writer.

I took creative writing as a high school course (before the summer started, I'm on to college now! oh boy) and it was fantastic!!
I had so much freedom in the class to enjoy ideas without judgement! I wrote a mysterious story about an elderly man who died and at the end he showed up watching his burial as a young man. He was immortal, but you didn't know until the very end and I never came right out and stated it. I called it "The Ordinary Death of Donald Dailey" and actually had to research flower meanings and names from the time period in which my character was born. It was fun!!

I painstakingly plan out characters and plots over several months/years, and then never do anything else with them because I don't care about showing them to other people. I have a very 'watcher' mindset, so I craft stories for fun, but get little pleasure out of putting them to paper because by that point, I already know what happens and how.

Because I'm so devoted to fiction though, I very much want a career in the field, and so I've discovered that editing is right up my alley. I can put my voracious hunger for stories, my lit degree, and my attention to detail all to work, and participate in the creation of pieces that might become great.
