Whats up guys,
It's Thursday, January 5, 2012. Do you know what that means? More simulcast announcements! We started off by announcing: Poyopoyo!! Our next title for today is The Knight in the Area which starts tomorrow, January 6th at 2:30pm PST. The Knight in the Area will be available in the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. The Knight in the Area tells the stories of middle and high school students as they grow up through their soccer clubs, compete in national tournaments, and strive for world titles. Main character Kakeru, his respected elder brother Suguru, and childhood friend Nana Mishima, along with all the teammates, rivals from other schools, and world class soccer players around him radiate their own brilliant light as they face adolescence with all their strength. The story also incorporates the strong bond between Kakeru and Suguru, the love of their family, the friendship of their teammates and rivals, and fleeting first loves... all coming together to ignite passion in the hearts of all viewers. Poyopoyo will be available to worldwide audiences except for Japan starting this weekend on Saturday January 7th, at 4:00 pm PST. For a little sampling of it: “Seemingly too cute for many, this will be a comedy for all ages and types! None of the new anime that has been announced is terribly interesting, but I'll give this one a shot. Weird that this one is in the same CR time slot as Beelzebub.

Given that this, like Recorder and Randsell, is based on a 4 panel manga, and the air time in Japan is 7:24 AM, I am guessing this is another short form series, probably 5 minutes in length. Does anyone have reliable information to confirm that?

Does anyone have reliable information to confirm that? It is indeed a 3-minute series. This one's quite good though. |

Just not into much comedies anymore. Comedy is good but when it's overexaggered, I just find it to be boring and eventually leads to a drop. This happened to me a few times before and wasted time. So in the end, drop before watching = profit. At least, that's for me in my case. But on topic, I do want to check out Moretsu Pirates, Nisemonogatari, Ano Natsu de Matteru (if executed correctly), and possibly Brave 10 from CR. Also might try out Area no Kishi if it does get confirmed to be streamed here soon. Also, jw but what series u looking forward to from CR that has already been confirmed to be streamed here? |

I usually divide series into "watch now" or "watch after the season ends" categories. "Watch now" is reserved for series that either I don't expect to have a continuing plot (like the two short form series), ones that I am in interested in, but don't think I will be chomping at the bit for the next episode, or ones that I simply can't hold back from watching until they have wrapped up. "Watch later" tends to be for direct opposites: Series I have low interest in, and series I believe I will really like. The reason for waiting on these is so that I can watch as many episodes in one sitting as I like. I will sometimes start just before the season end, just so I won't be spoiled on the ending of the series by others. I should note I will sometimes wait for 2-3 episodes to see what the "buzz" is on a series before I start watching. At the moment, I can only say that Moretsu Pirates and the two short form series fall into the "Watch now" category. The remainder is still undecided at this point, and will probably depend on what I see in discussion after the first 2-3 episodes. |
