All I could think of as I read the first post was "Sakura, Orihime, this one's for you." XD I hate those two for exactly that reason D:

Yeah, and if all the bitches behaved perfectly reasonable, the feather- brains stayed out of trouble, and the bad guys would see the errors of their ways there would be nothing to watch. Those bitches are meddling for your sake, so you got something to bitch about.

1. Animes are Cartoons.
2. On TV, documentaries and the news are serious. Not animations.
3. Not all anime is intended for adults, but rather most anime is aimed at kids.
4. Cartoons like south park, family guy and the Simpsons are aimed at adults.

I apologizing for upsetting all the poor poor Japan lovers. Desu.

I agree! I find it sad that the only character that comes to mind is Orihime...if we WANTED to hear "Kurosaki-Kun"! being continously spammed we would go to a trolling website. ~_~

Sometimes too many flashbacks annoys me. That's one reason why I couldn't get into Ergo Proxy. There'd be a flashback of something that happened 5 minutes before and perhaps even the same flashback ten minutes later. All in all, the pacing in Ergo Proxy was too slow, which robbed it of suspense. The characters were dull and lifeless. Changes of locale too fast. Too much slow-motion. And a few other nitpicks made Ergo Proxy an extremely annoying anime.

Oh yeah, I sometimes get annoyed when characters redundantly say another character's name. I am currently watching Blood+ and the characters say each others name all the time. Examples:

Kai: "Saya, please give Irene your blood."
Saya: "Kai..."

or

Kai: "Saya, we're a family."
Saya: "Kai..."

or

Haji: "Saya, you must fight..."
Haji: "Haji..."

It's also redundant when they say the characters name when they show up to save the day out of nowhere or when he's about to be hit.

Anime is as serious business as any other show that is aired on TV. You can't really compare anime intended for adults with cartoons for kids.

What's even more hilarious is that people tend to do the exact opposite. Adults what cartoons for kids *ahem*... .

While kids, younger kids mind you, watch shows like the Simpsons and South Park and find it hilarious even if they don't quite grasp everything. People sneer at documentaries while engrossing themselves completely with animation and cartoons. There's nothing wrong with taking anything seriously in this world but you will do well to be able to step back and poke fun at yourself as well.

Apparently not. Matt Groening is a religious Catholic who created the Simpsons not just for the general aim, but he wanted to convey certain messages about philosophy and ethics. Well, in that sense, I guess it actually makes it more for kids...hm.

Also a lot of the jokes are adult themed anyways.
