I mean, Suguru is one of the best players in the series. I wonder if someone or some team arranged that accident intentionally. Don't read too much into it. It was probably just a coincidence to get the story rolling. |

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Episode 3: Mostly a flashback episode as we see the childhood memories of Suguru, Kakeru, and Seven. The music used in this episode was performed well as well as the drama involved. Apparently, Nana Mishima got her nickname "7" a few years ago because it's the same equivalent as "Nana" in Japanese. There was someone named Nana and Mishima on the team already so a nickname was given to her: Also, regarding the accident that happened in episode 2, Suguru apparently... Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide So now, the plot is focused on u-know-who. Also by the preview, it is definitely confirmed that Suguru is not the same person as this dude: |

So far, I don't mind watching this show, but I can't say it tops my list of "must watch" shows. While it is enjoyable, it can be a tad bit predictable and melodramatic. I wouldn't mind so much if they would stop using the horrible soap-opera sound effects.

I love the fact they were able to show Kakeru sorting out his feelings and firmly choosing his resolve. Didn't like the fact about the heart transplant side effects that he gains the personality of the past owner.... as long as they don't overplay that fact, I guess it would be okay.
Does anyone know if the time skip before the high school timeline is important? Just curious since I'm not following the manga. |

Based on the episodes that aired so far, I'd say the timeline is pretty important as it shows how Kakeru, Seven, and his brother got into soccer. I've not read the manga yet but I think they showed alot of flashback scenes related to it. |

Ep 2 and 3:
They handled the sad stuff in a really bad way, it could have been much sader, I didn`t even get tears in my eyes. And that the brother that lived has "super powers" now is just comedic. The mother crying in ep 3 was just too bad. I was looking forward to this one, that it might be sad and such, a friend on MAL has read the manga and she says that the anime handled everything so wrong. She cried when she read the manga, she didn`t even get tears when she watched the anime. |
